NSV

I've got a non scale victory here. :)

A few weeks ago I went shopping for some work clothes because my skirts I was wearing are falling off of me. They were all size 14 or 16 from Lane Bryant, so they were big 14 and 16's.

So anyway, I went to Kohl's and target and had no idea what size I wore in regular clothes because it's been a few years since I've bought anything that didn't have a W in the size or not from Lane Bryant. So I tried on 16's and 14's in the regular department. 16's were too big...and some 14's were too big. But I did find some 14's that fit perfect. Now I'm super unorganized lately. So some of those clothes haven't been put into my regular circulation of clothes...and I kind of forgot about them. I do have the jean capris that I've been wearing that are now really baggy, but I needed something to wear yesterday besides jeans...so I found the bag in my closet on a shelf and I pulled out the skirts....they're too big. I can pull them off without unzipping them and there's no elastic in them and they're not stretch...2 are chiffon type material and the other is Linen. OMG!!!! So it's been under 60 days so those babies are going back!!!

Now I don't want to buy anything..so I'm going to goodwill. Then I won't feel bad if they don't fit me in a month.

Oh and about a year ago, I ordered some knee high Kenneth Cole boots...really pricey, but I wanted them. I couldn't zip them up, not even 1/2 way...dh said, "return them, they're too expensive to keep if they don't fit." me being stubborn didn't because I was determined to fit into them. I've been trying them on every couple weeks since starting medifast. Yesterday I zipped them up. :)

That is a great NSV!! It is a wonderful feeling to have things fit loosely when most of us were use to having things practically cut us in half!

Lisa,

Have I told you lately how awesome you are? You're always such a wonderful support for everyone here. I look at your ticker and it amazes me. You've come so far in such a short amount of time. Such an inspiration.

Woo Hoo on that NSV - don't you love it!! :bravo:

You are doing great Jen and I agree about buying clothes. Even my hubby tells me not to spend too much because he says "you aren't going to be in them very long".... :D

Goodwill

Postby Jan » April 17th, 2006, 9:22 am

Yup,
It's off to the Goodwill for us. Spendy clothes fall off just the same as penny pincher clothes. I've told you all that the kids at Starbucks started calling me "Mrs Baggy Pants" sooooo I was out shopping and found the cutest capri pants with of all things alllll over them but handbags and shoes. :D So I bought them and proudly wore them to Starbucks. I'm a true Mrs Baggy Pants now. Oh..... of course they are toooo big now so baggy in both senses.

Congratulations! It must feel amazing to not only be shrinking out of your clothes practically overnight, but also to be able to zip those fabulous boots up!
I say your next set of pics includes one of you in the NSV boots! :)

:bananadance: I think I like some of the NSV better than seeing those numbers on the scale -- it's the visible & tangible differences that are often more rewarding!

Congratulations and keep up the great work! :coolnana:

JEN,

Here's a deal for you...

If you will pose in your Kenneth Cole boots for your next picture, I'll pose in my white cowboy boots for an almost-to-goal picture . :git:
(Inquiring minds need to know that appropriate attire will also be required.)

Whaddaya say, pardner? :deadhorse:

This is a wonderful NSV. I've never been able to wear boots before and this is definitely on my list of "must haves". In fact, I was shocked when my husband took me snow skiing a couple of years ago (never been before) and tha d*** boots wouldn't lace up. I was devastated and embarassed. So next winter, all the slopes had better watch out because Arklahoma's heading to the slopes!
