I just got an email fron Neiman Marcus this morning that had as its subject line: Sophisticated spring fashions in special sizes. I clicked on it and then thought, there is no way I am paying Neiman's prices for plus sized, oh excuse me, "special" sized spring clothes when I expect to reach goal this summer! I deleted the thing and enjoyed it!

Well, I am already a 1x so I won't need their plus sized clothes fairly soon I hope! It does seem close. I have to lose a little under 3 pounds a week to make my goal of July 25, so I might not make it but I have hope.

Even if you don't quite make the July goal, you know you'll get there. And in the grand scheme of your life, a few days or weeks - or even months - won't make a huge difference. And either way, you'll be closer to goal than you are right now; that's the important thing.

And I won't be needing size 3x skirts from Neiman's! Thanks for the encouragement.

You should write them back and ask for a lower price for smaller sizes!! Less material and all...

I totally understand that one. I recently got the Causal Male XL catalog. Of course there are clothes in there that fit, but as I was scanning through it, it hit me. Most of the clothes in there are WAY too big for me. They go up to lie size 72, and 8X.
Mind you, this used to be one of the two places that I could shop for clothes. I was a size 66 and 6X. Being ina 48 and 2X is much nicer. My closet is FULL (and not because the clothes are so big).

The one drawback is that when I first stopped being able to shop at Lane Giant, they had some really nice clothes that I wanted. But I've learned to live with the disappointment.

I'm so looking forward to ordering from J. Jill and actually having the clothes look like they are suppose to! I don't get 'plus size' catalogs very often and don't want to get them---I want to be able to buy a medium and look darn fine in it!

I still get my e-mails from Casual Male XL. But the best thing was before Christmas and I walked in to get my dad some button extenders for shirts (yes he still doesn't admit his growing belly so he wears shirts too small with necks that don't fit). I walked up to the register to pay and asked whats your smallest size pants and they were well over my size. Then I said whats your smallest size shirt and they said Large-Tall. At the time I could wear that but I am now in mediums.

Congrats Biki on this accomplishment.

I just got that one too, and I don't even fit in an XL any more...I should have gotten Mediums at Walmart, but I got Larges so no more XL for me!!! :kool:

Ohhh I cant wait to fit into J.Jill or J.Crew clothes!!
