'nother newbie

Hi everyone -
my name is Li and I took the plunge last week. My first shipment came thursday & off & running I am!
The weekend was hard - I had a grad party to go to - but I came through allright & felt like I needed to start regardless of the event going on.
I went out & bought a scale last night - I haven't had one in my home for about 2 years....

I didn't realize how addicted I was to food. I rather figured I was - but I didn't realize just how bad.
All I thought about for 2 days was food.
Today was day 4 & my pants seem a little more comfortable.
That was my final straw - my pants were painfully tight.

I look forward to making this work - and to visiting with you all on a regular basis.

OK - I've now had a chance to browse around a bit. Whatta great place.

My diet history has been pretty much a rollercoaster ride.
Had great success with Redux after the birth of my son nearly 13 years ago. Lost 40 pounds in 4 months. But - poof! It was taken from the market - pleased to say I had no ill effects.

Tried phentermine with marginal results.
Also xenical - o man -- I won't go there with that one.
Also meridia - made me depressed.

of course, WW - just can't keep it going longer than 10 pounds.

Been about 6 years since I've seriously decided to diet.
I'd lose a few pounds here and there, but nothing substantial.
Tried exercising with it too - even with walking 2 miles three times a week, I could only keep 15 pounds off. And back they came creeping - and then some.

So - here I am. More mentally ready than ever.
I realize that it won't be a perfect ride.
But I'm in it for the long haul.
