Hang in there and the weight will come off :) I am on day 5 and from past "diets" (which I don't call Medifast, I call it my new eating plan) I know that plateus can be discouraging :( just hang in there. I was told by my health advisor that many things can cause this such as "that time of month", hormones, stress, too much salt etc etc etc

so just draw strength from us when yours is gone :stroll: and you will get through this

Thinner days ARE ahead

It can be pretty normal to not lose for a bit after losing so much in one week. Stick with the plan and it'll start coming off again in no time.

And try not to pay so much attention to the scale. I weigh all the time, so I know that fluctuations are normal. If you put too much stock in the daily numbers, you'll drive yourself crazy. I know I can weigh one thing, then come back 30 minutes later after doing absolutely nothing, and I'll weigh 2 pounds more.

Rae-

You need to let your body adjust to all these changes. Your body will go through flux on a daily basis (esp if you are a woman) as much as 5-6 lbs. It takes like a full month for your system to realize what you are doing and to deal with it. MF is exactly what you need - it is like gas for you car -- you cannot overfill it or top off, it doesn't work. If you put diesel into a Honda, you are going to be messing with its system.

Wings and prime rib were you diesel so now you need to let your system clean and work itself out some. Don't worry, it will get back on track in a while. Don't let the scale dictate how you are doing or feeling with all of this. Why not limit your scale time for the next week or so and see what surprise it has in store for you when you hop back on it?!?

You are fine and it will be okay!

Gwenski is right...

Actually, I've been told to give 1 month to MF... Only 1 month, and if I wasn't satisfied, then I would be in right to cry, yell, etc...

I told the guy that I want to love 20 pounds or I'll get discouraged.... I don't have the exact number since i'm at office, but I lost something like 26 pounds the first month...

Everyone is different, however give MF some time, be true to the plan, and you'll see the pounds part away! You already made a good step with first week done... You just need to hang on!

Time can't be fast-forwarded (I wish I could sometimes...), so just enjoy the ride
