Not loosing any more wieght

Postby AngelX » July 13th, 2006, 11:57 am

Hey guys

I'm new to the forum, I'm 27 years old
5'8 - 5'9 height
my current weight is 160

I've been on Medifast for about 5 weeks now

The first 3 weeks were great I lost about 10 pounds, however I haven't lost anything for a while now, almost a week.

However I dont know whats caused the weight to stop.

I am still in ketosis

Any idea

I dont ever have my bar as the last or the first meal

6:30 am fruit punch
9:30 bar
12:30 oatmal or cold drink
3:30 cold drink
6:30 soup or oatmeal
9:30 lean and green (chicken with some salad)

Any ideas why this is happening?

thank you

Well, when people are near their optimal weight, they do lose slower. According to what you stated your height and present weight to be, you seem to be really close. Are you drinking all your water? Do you exercise? Sometimes people exercise too much for such a low calorie diet. What is your goal weight?

Start out slow with your exercise. Maybe just a brisk wald 3 or 4 times a week. Drink extra water, and some people find it helpful to have an extra supplement when they plateau. I have also heard Nancy say that people who are having a harder time losing weight should have more shakes and less of the other stuff. They are higher in protein and lower in carbs. I have also heard people say that when they plateaued, they cut out the bars and that helped. Keep posting and maybe someone else will chime in with some other advise. You don't have far to go, and those last few pounds can be TOUGH!! Just keep on keepin on. Don't give up. You can do it!!

That seems awful late to be eating your L & G. Have you always had it that late? I try not to eat much beyond a bar or a shake past 7:30PM.
