I'm not hungry!

Postby Shana » April 12th, 2006, 9:59 am

Whoooohoooo! I'm not starving! YAY!!! It's a good thing! Except....

I don't want my suppliments lol I've been trying to eat my soup for the last 30minutes - I'm about 5 spoonfuls into it, because I'm still full from my oatmeal 3 hours ago, and I wasn't hungry for my oatmeal because I was full from my last suppliment taken LAST NIGHT, which I wasn't hungry for because of the one before that... and I could go on, but I think ya'll get the idea :)

Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather be stuffed than have my tummy rumblnig at me, but... pfffffffft

Who'd have thought a former compulsive overeater would whine about having to eat more lol

And as a side note, RoTel is HOT. hot hot hot hot hot. I added a touch of it to my broccoli soup, and it's mouth burning hot - it didn't affect me this much in the chili, and I always use tabasco in everything, but geeeeeeeeez RoTel has a serious bite!

K, whiney-ness over, now back to regularly scheduled posting!

I know what you mean. I used to laugh when that taco bell commercial would come on that had the guy that would scream "I'm Full" but now I get it. I am full <grin>.

I know you guys must think that I'm in advertising/marketing but I'm not ... I just really like a clever commercial.

I love good commercials too :)

Now, share your secrets for choking down all of your food when you're full before you begin! :)

Actually, I have to do this almost every day. I really talk to myself and remind myself that this is like medicine. My body needs it whether I want to consume it or not. Heck, if I had a brain tumor, I would take chemo but I wouldn't enjoy it. I look at my obesity as a disease that I have to fight!

Shana, I so know that feeling!! Thats when the Peach and Raspberry Ice tea are handy, (Im waiting to try the punch and mango.) You can just sip it like a drink. I usually mix the peach or Raspberry with the same flavor SF Crystal lite, and add double the water with Ice and just sip on it... works for me when Im not really hungry.

Yeah, I tend to alternate the more filling supplements with the less filling ones. Oatmeal and soup/chili when I'm hungry, then cocoa or pudding when I'm not. The pudding actually makes me hungry, so sometimes I'll have that before my lean and green.

lol I'm doing the same thing Arklahoma - telling myself it's medicine & I have to have it or I'll keep looking like I swallowed a beach ball, and no body wants that!

Geri, I think I'm going to have to add some of the cold drinks to my next order - they'd probably be fabulous made in my smoothie maker with ice - like a medifast slushie! mmmmmgoood!

DogMa, I'm doing the same thing, trying to swap less filling ones out - but I'm afraid I'm going to run out before it's time to reorder :)

Thanks for the suggestions ladies :)

Man I'm not having that problem. I'm not making myself eat. I want to eat! I feel way full after my lean and green, but the medifast stuff jives just right with my new appetite.

:bib: This evening I was the last to leave the dinner table because I was still eating my L&G. I have to keep telling myself to eat everything on my plate because it's my "lose the weight medicine"! :)

Yup

I do the same thing. I have to set the alarm on my cell phone to "remind" myself to eat (who would've thunk...little miss junk food all the time being REMINDED to eat, the world is ending....)

I also consider my supplements "medicine" when I'm full and don't want to finish, I tell myself I wouldn't take 1/2 of the medicine the doctor prescribed, so I'm not going to take 1/2 of my supplements!

Also I agree about the fruit punch, iced tea, etc. Sometimes, you can just sip a drink, not be full, and still get the supplementation!

Good luck!

Shana, They are good that way in a slushie, I even put some rum extract in them.... yummy, and they don't make you so full.
