Non-scale victory, the whole "family" is healthier

Postby dede4wd » May 23rd, 2006, 1:39 pm

Hi there,
Most of you know I'm terminally single, so this won't be a post about my husband or kids getting healthier...

We went to the vets today. I was dreading it because they yelled at me last year that my smallest dog was 10lbs overweight and we needed to do something about it NOW!

Well, Yoda has lost 6lbs!!! A big part of it has been no "rides" to the drive-thru (where he'd get a fry), no "bites" of Mom's fast food, and the walks to the convenience store instead of the rides.

So, Yoda is now 4lbs from being at an optimal doggie BMI and I'm THRILLED!

I started laughing when the vet said Yoda lost 6lbs...I said, "I lost 50, he lost 6!" One of the vet techs heard me say that and all of a sudden the whole office wanted to hear about Medifast, it was pretty funny!

The whole "family" is getting healthier!

DeDe, that's great! My "kids" have lost weight, too. The vet told me just last week that they're at their optimal weights and don't need to lose anymore. Pretty much the only people food they get these days is a little extra meat if I cook a steak or something for dinner and it's too big (but not big enough for two servings).

I'm a little jealous, though, that they reached goal before I did!
