No, definitely not, because of all the oil. This isn't Atkins, where you can have all the fat you want.

You are so very right! Oil is a no no, no way, no how! You can use the spray oils and I think there are some who use very small quantities of some type of oil. I can not imagine how much of that oil is absorbed while cooking!

Lisa!! 46 pounds?? My gawd...you're shrinking away! Ain't it wonderful! :woohoo:

So, I've been wondering...what kind of "spray oils" are legal? I've heard others mention "spray oil" in this forum before but I have no idea what they are talking about. I tried using pam to stir fry some zuchinni the other day and it was kinda yucky. Food coated with silicone... If there is something else to use I'd sure like to know what it is!

I've been using the Pam with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and it seems to work really well. I spritz a couple of times with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter to give it that butter flavor and help with the "silicone" taste. ;)

Allison,

try the new pure sprays, can't remember who makes them, but after reading the ingredients in pam I freaked. I don't want teflon on my food. I don't even want it on my pans after reading all the stuff about it in consumer reports magazine...

The pure sprays, ( I think mazola makes them) has nothing but canola oil, soy, natural butter flavor, (from milk it says), and a propellent in it.
It comes in butter, canola oil and olive oil flavors. says it has no alcohol, no silicone and is naturally fat free. 0 carbs, 0 fat and 0 calories. just the way we like it.....

I have found it even tastes better than the others....
