Not much to report today. The cookies were even better the next day - I sealed them in Gladware while they were still hot, so they steamed up the container and the moisture made them nice and soft. I was dreading them again, thinking that cold they would be icky - but they were really good!

Today I had my bar first thing in the morning which I know you're not supposed to do, but I only had one all day and I'm on my way to a double cocoa to finish up the night (was out shopping too long today).

On the shopping front - I bought a new pair of jeans (18 MISSES!!!!) and they pretty much fit. I'll try them on every Friday for casual day at work - I can squeeze into them but not quite there yet 100%. They have zero stretch, though - my other dress pants all have stretch. So I guess I'm probably in a 20 still, boo hoo. Although - I bought a new dress in an XL 16/18 and that fits. But alas, it's also stretchy. So I'm cheating a little with the clothes apparently - my bottom is still bigger than my top.

Well, I need to go make that cocoa. I saw a certain number this morning but I'm not going to say it out loud lest tomorrow I'm up for some reason. But I hope it's still there in the morning 'cause it was a nice number. :D

Sweet Nickie!! I think all jeans need a little stretch, it sure helps when you have to bend over 500 times a day to pick up kiddies and toys!

I haven't made any cookies this time around, maybe I should try it again.

Up .4 from yesterday but still had a loss of 1.5. On the way to church now. Trying not to be discouraged but I feel fat today. So something must be wrong but I don't know what yet - I read this book that says when you feel fat you really are feeling something else probably. Well, I'll see if anything becomes apparent today. Only 75 pounds to goal now, though. That's good news.

Nickie, 220! You are teetering on the brink of the teens!! Keep yourself strong and on program and you'll be saying 'good-bye to the 20s' forever!

Disappointing that the scale didn't allow the teens to show up today, my scale turned on me, too. :? Just keep doing the program and you're body will catch up.

That book just might be RIGHT Nickie...you're probably thinking you're feeling fat and it's probably something else you're really feeling. What ever it is, like Jo always says "this too shall pass"...keep the faith girl. Well it certainly seems you're going in the right direction...a 1.5 loss is totally FABBBULOUS as far as i'm concerned.

Just keep onnnnnn shakin!!!...remember, we got a Medifast Cruise lurking in the back of our minds...LOL! Wouldn't that be sooooo WONDERFUL for ALL of us to be Cruising together!!

Love,
Chynna

Don't worry Tawanda, I'm not letting this lure me into binging. I know better now, finally! I was disappointed but never thought of taking even a bite off plan (unless communion counts but it better not!).

Mavesse - I actually just made a chart this morning to track my progress till Christmas and goal (hopefully). We need to lose a little over 2 pounds a week (average - obviously some weeks will be under, some over!) to make goal by 12/23. We can totally do it!!!!

Biki - I read about your week and you are part of the reason I'm trying to be grateful for my loss. Not just the week you just had, but all the times you've extolled us all to show gratitude. Thanks for helping me keep a positive attitude.

And Chynna - I forgot about that cruise. July of 2008, what do you think? Let's get the reservations going!

Thanks everyone for checking in and cheering me up. The sun is out and I'm trying to remember to stay bright and cheery myself.

Hi Nickie,

Can't wait to do the teen celebration dance with you :) I'm about 17 pounds heavier than you right now, so as I celebrate with you I know I'll be celebrating for myself just a little while later.

Hope you have a great week!

Thanks everybody. My good attitude is being challenged today, though.

I was up again - almost a full pound. And I was especially careful yesterday with measuring things and timing my meals. I do just awful with water on the weekends - I had 32oz on Saturday and none yesterday - I guess that's what did it? And I had 3 diet sodas yesterday, too, which in addition to no water I guess I was asking for trouble.

I just never can seem to accept that the water is that important. During the week it's just a habit that I have at least 100oz a day, but when I'm home I don't bother. A while back I said I was going to do better about water on the weekends but that lasted for one weekend and then it was back to normal. But apparently that needs to be more of a priority at home. Especially as I look ahead to 10 weeks of summer vacation - I can do a lot of damage if I'm not getting in my water for 10 whole weeks.

Plus I feel fat and frumpy again today. Mondays are very busy for me and it's hard leaving the baby after the weekend. I thought my hair looked fine today but I caught my reflection in a window and I looked enormous and my hair makes my head look like this little tiny lump on top of a bloated body. Tomorrow they are taking a faculty picture on the front steps in the morning and I have no idea what I'll wear and my hair is always wet in the morning and I'm not real keen on the idea of getting up early just to dry it, so I feel like I'm going to look like crap in this picture that will be around forever until they take a new one in a few years, and with my luck I'll be on maternity leave every year they take the picture so this is what people will have to look at for the next 10 years.

Boy I'm even more miserable today than I thought. I'm going to go before I depress everybody here. I will make it through the day and I won't let my negative thoughts lead me to binge when I get home. I really am getting better at dealing with these mood swings without food as medicine. The kids are coming into the building now - maybe they'll cheer me up....

Let's problem solve a little. The way I always get my water in is I ALWAYS have a glass of it with me. I If I am at the desk, it's here. If I am putting on make-up, it's there. If I am taking a shower, it's on the sink. I realize being an alchie it is probably easier for me to drink constantly all day long but I picked up the habit rather easily and have no problem getting in 100oz a day. I count by 8 oz. at a time so it doesn't seem overwhelming or like a job because I am not chugging it just drinking. It also helps keep me full because I am always taking something in. Make it a habit instead of a chore. You will also feel so much better if you are getting in all your water. That would be true if you were MF'ing or not. If I get behind in my water I walk over to the sink and stand in front of it and don't let myself leave that spot until I have had 16 oz. But that rarely happens. It works when I get hungry too. Water is a good thing. As for the hair-Do you have a shower cap or can you take a shower and not get your hair wet and just wash it the night before? There are lots of work arounds not to have wet hair. You can also let it air dry for a bit then flip your head over and hit it with high heat to make sure the bottom hair is dry. It will give the hair some shape and won't take as long as doing a whole hairstyle. I of course would take the extra time to actually do my hair. My passport picture is a testament to the fact that you should take an extra 15 minutes before getting a picture taken. Good luck and drink up!~

What are you talking about girl? You have lost quite a bit of weight, you shouldn't feel fat and frumpy, you should be feeling LIGHT and LOVELY!!

C'mon, get all dolled up for the picture and you will definitely feel better! Do your hair and put on makeup, wear something classic and feminine for posterity. Maybe a suit?

You're very pretty, make the most of it. :)
