Update #1 - it's official - I'm not pregnant yet. Of course I already said that yesterday but in case anybody missed it.

Talk to you in November!

I will really miss you, too, Biki and Jo. Thank goodness I know where to find you! (I don't mean that in a creepy stalker way, either - lest you were worried.)

This goes way back, the pizza boy thing. If Nickie wants to tell the story I will let her tell it.

I'll never tell!! These people just have dirty minds, Katesmom, that's all.... ;)

Well - the weight is creeping up. I tried my new eating plan yesterday and I sucked at it big time. Munchy munchy munchy. Now, this is not a huge problem if I get pregnant this month, but if it takes a few months, I could be in really bad shape. So I have a call in to my OB to ask about nutrition stuff, but I haven't been called back yet.

I am so far compliant today through 3 supplements and maybe I will just do that for the time being - eat supplements for breakfast and at work, and then try to only eat nutritious things at home, no junk. At the very least I think I could maintain doing that. I'm still drinking plenty of water, too.

But if the doctor thinks it is OK, I may try to do the program until I find out I'm pregnant. It's just that what I've read says that it's actually more important what you eat BEFORE you get pregnant than WHILE you are pregnant, because a lot of important stuff happens to those baby cells in the first few weeks. I don't want to be eating too little, either. I was thinking maybe 4/2, something like that.

Anyway, that's why I'm back today - because maybe I will stick with MF a while longer, depending on what my doctor says. Hopefully I'll have an answer in a couple of days. It's just really hard going to back to eating all kinds of food again. Then again, maybe I'm judging too quickly. Seems natural to have a little rebound weight gain, and maybe it will all work itself out. But anyway - MF at work for the time being, and we'll see what the recommendation is from the expert.

I think the key here is to eat healthy before and during a pregnancy. Now I understand that once you are pregnant then you will need more than just MF because the baby will need calories and other stuff too, but I can't imagine that there is anything in any of the products that would be harmful in a "pre-pregnant, and trying woman". I think I would even try the MF as supplements if I were pregnant, esp if there is any morning sickness involved. No, a 5 and 1 wouldn't be wise, but maybe a 2 and 3 or something of the sort since the nutrition is so good in the product.

Have you considered the name "Irene" if it's a girl? It means "peace."

Yes, Rodeomom, I was thinking 4/2 or something - I want to talk with the doctor or nurse at my OB's office to see what would be healthy. I'm having trouble being all on my own - but I also don't really believe that eating 800 to 1000 calories a day and trying to conceive is a great plan.

Once I get pregnant I'll lose what I've gained so far - assuming things go the same as they did last time. I was nauseated (that's one's for you, too, Biki - I almost wrote 'nauseous!') the entire first trimester 24/7 - it was terrible - and I lost a few pounds. I actually thought a couple of times I was going to have to grab the trashcan in the middle of a class - but thankfully that never happened. I just felt awful.

Yeah, so why do I want to do this again?

Oh yeah, that's right - they told me a kid would be worth all the pain and suffering and they were so right. I haven't forgotten it, but I can endure it because the reward is so amazing.

Well, I'll figure it out - in the meantime, I'm already getting crazy about this place again so I am going to have to limit myself to one visit a day - and that one visit can't be at work. You all just take over my mind!

No ideas for names yet, Biki - with my daughter I just knew what her name would be from the start - except the middle name, that changed a couple of times. But I am fresh out of names now. It's tough being a teacher - almost every name has a kid's face attached to it already, and whether it's a good or bad association, I have to find names that I've not had in class. Which would be easier if I weren't a music teacher who works with every blessed kid that enters the school district!

OK - it's late, but not as late as I was up last night, so I'm going to head to bed. I'm sure being tired is not great for conceiving, either. You know, I've never gone through this part before, because last time it just happened - it wasn't planned. There's a lot of stress caught up in this adventure!

Actually, given my understanding of things, its perfectly healthy to conceive while doing this program. Hope you hear back from your OB. Also, its fine to use the products while you are pregnant, just not the regular program. I know Dayna still had products while she was pregnant, just not the low calorie plan.

Pre WLS 460
Low after WLS 300
Start of MF 350
Previous MF low 280
Restart MF 330

Nickie,

Best wishes in the baby-creation! :D

As far as diet/non-diet goes, my sis get pregnant with twins just when she was reaching her goal on Medifast

Guess all that free-floating fat-cell released estrogen was like a conception powerhouse ;)

She & hubby are now proud parents of Milo & Lola, age 4 months.

Good luck though, whatever way you decide to go! :) :)

Oh, don't tease me, I'd love to have twins! If you can guarantee me that staying on MF will get me twins, I'm on it!

Just returned the call from the nurse who returned my original call yesterday. EVENTUALLY I'll speak to someone I imagine, but right now it's just back and forth with messages. Ugh! My luck, they'll call while I'm in a class or driving or something and this will go on for weeks. And I will scream if they want me to make an appointment to talk about this.
