Last night my boyfriend and I went to a benefit dinner for an organization that works to prevent child abuse. We had a wonderful time and lots of money was raised. Close to $50,000 just from the auction.

Okay, my parents are taking my husband and me on a free trip to NYC. We already have reservations for restaurants, shows, etc.... I don't see how I can stick to the plan for those days! We're going to Sardi's, Tavern on the Green, Trattoria del Arte.....should I just eat as healthy as I can? I have no problem doing the shakes for breakfast- but we'll be out and about ALL day EVERY day. Anyone ...

Nova's NSV post has reminded me that I have a problem that I need some advise on.

The pressure to buy tall boots is overwhelming me. Every fashion catalogue I have has them plastered everywhere. You don't see a skirt with "normal" shoes, they are all paired with tall boots.

Now, I know you girls in Texas and surrounding areas think that tall boots are just the thing, but up here in the north east, ...

OK, so we tried with the big 6 month old Black Lab/Bull Terrier mix and he was WAYYY too aggressive for us (he nipped at me today) So my son found him a great home with one of his friends and we went back to the pound to get another puppy. Yesterday was an awful day. on my way to work, my car died, and I had to wait for AAA for almost two hours while it was pouring rain and pretty cold. When I finally got to work, my partner was very upset that I was late, even though I had called, and told me how disappointed he was all day long.

I know in the relative realm of things..this isn't a really big thing to be praying for...but if any of you have some spare time, could you say a little prayer to St. Jude that I am able to find my beloved kitty..Mandy.

She's totally disappeared! I've looked all around the house under beds, in closets, all her usuall hideouts and nothing... Can't find her anywhere. She's an indoor cat...never have left her outside.

We had our Walk today and like Ark there were process carbs. I think Missy did a good job organizing it though. She did have out many cases of water and no other drinks. There was also the biggest basket of apples I have ever seen, granola bars, little packets of graham crackers, little packets of pretzles and in the morning bagles.
