Questions/Comments about Weight loss Products.

Is there a guide on what we should be looking for in meat?

I know that you can have 7 oz. of poultry or 5 oz. of lean beef, but what should I be looking for in the products?

For instance, I love turkey. It's extremely rare to find turkey cutlets in my local grocery story, and I don't want to cook an entire bird! What should I be looking for that would be acceptable (and not overly processed).

Also, what about chicken. Is it ok to buy ...

How long before you start losing weight?

I started three days ago, and I've not lost any weight. I'm not terribly concerned about this, but considering the amount of that most people lose in the first week, I'm a little surprised.

When did most of you start to see the pounds drop?

What Are You Feeding Your Family?

Newbie just_julie stated in a different post:

"Of course I make the family's other meals, but I've always made them healthy things that are not tempting to me. Funny how I would always take care of them with healthful food, but I didn't take care of myself."

This interesting comment (thanks, just_julie! :) ) got me to thinking about how many posts I have seen that while ...

yogurt?

My doctor put me on some antibiotics for an ear infection. He advised me to eat yogurt to prevent a yeast infection from developing while I'm on the antibiotics. Of course, that's not on the list of foods we can have. How badly will having a cup of yogurt once a day affect my progress? Does anyone know of any alternatives? I don't want to go off course, but I don't want to risk a ...

Teriyaki Sauce?

According to medifast, I am allowed 1-2 teaspoons of any condiment. What about teriyaki sauce?

The reason I ask is because my favorite brand's first ingredient is sugar. I've never seen a sauce with sugar as it's main ingredient, but this one has it. Would 1-2 teaspoons be horrible, or would this still fall under the allowable condiments?

Dumb Question: How do I find "lean" beef?

I just started the plan a few days ago. I bought plenty of chicken and turkey, along with some round eye steaks and some ground beef patties.

I very rarely eat beef (or pork), but I thought that I would buy some things just in case I get the urge. After getting home, I noticed that the booklet said to use "lean" beef. What I have is simply called "choice beef".

When I went back ...
