Hey, everyone (especially Unca)! Nova's made it to the 50-pound club!! Woo hoo!!!

I've been thinking about how we all have a tendancy to either hide our "cheats" or goof-ups in quiet painful shame, or we come here and pour out our guilt soaked hearts over the slightest of mishaps. I'm so upset, for several reasons. I found out this morning that my mother in law, who has kept my son since he was 6 weeks old, will no longer be able to keep him. When you go to a restaurant, how do you gauge portions if the weight isn't listed on the menu? For instance, Chinese, you can get the steamed chicken and veggies which is yummy. But then the plate comes out and it seems like an awful lot.... I don't eat the carrots or little corn, just the broccoli, celery, and mushrooms (and chicken of course). Well, after bouncing around within a 6 pound range for 3 weeks, I finally had some significant weight loss, 7 1/2 pounds in 8 days.

I'm not sure exactly what I did differently, other than the following two things:

1) made sure to have at least 2 shakes per day, preferably 3.

and

2) on days when I exercised, depending upon the exercise, added anywhere from 100 calories (extra shake) to 300 calories (snacks, crackers, ...

We are having ALOT of lunches out at work in the next few weeks and their restaurant of choice is you guessed it, mexican. I love it, but that was pre-Medifast and I've avoided this far. I have to decide what I'm getting before I go in or I'll cave. My question is, what can you eat at a mexican rest? I know the beans, cheese, etc is out. The fajita meat and vegetables is ...
