Might be a dumb question, but how do I put a weight "timeline" like most of you wonderful people have??????

I created one of those cute tickers and tried to copy it into my profile. I chose the html. It said that my profile did update, but when I posted the next blurb, there was not cheerie ticker at the bottom.
