Is there room in the 40# club for me too? :-)

Today marks my 3 month "anniversary" if you will of starting Medifast. :flip:

I started on April 13, 2005, doing the Lean & Green plan and 40 pounds of flabbage are GONE!!! :boing:

I am so happy with this!!! I originally set a goal of 55lbs (that was exactly what I gained with my first pregnancy) so I thought ...

Full Fast or 5 and 1

This question is for Nancy:

Do you think people have a significant difference in weight loss between the 5 and 1 and the full fast? I had thought of doing the full fast, but since I did a full juice fast for 40 days before, I know how the hunger rolls in when you start adding solids back to your diet. I have always gone to one extreme to another and it's always been all ...

Anybody out there ever experience the dumpsters?

Hi, Kids ~

I got a good question from a guy friend of mine and I thought I would post it and my reply and ask you for your input, too.

Question: Anyone ever report any issues with depression on this diet? I find that I just sometimes seem to "crash" and get real down. Perhaps it's my natural impatience and guilt about letting myself go for so long, but it can really get bad ...

tofu

I will be starting my Medifast program tomorrow. I wanted to know if I could use tofu instead of chicken in my salad. Also, I welcome any advice or tips for a successful start. I am excited and afraid at the same time...not sure why...can anyone relate? I have been overweight all of my life (120lbs. overweight now), and NO ONE has EVER seen me thin because I never have been. I hope my best ...

Cream of Chicken can be good!!

OK, I FINALLY found a way to make the cream of chicken soup not only tolerable, but pretty tasty. I added a tsp of Better Than Bouillon (chicken flavor) and about two tsps of fresh salsa, then mixed in a crumbled-up pack of Medi-crackers. It was so good I had it again at my next meal (yes, I had two packs of crackers in one day, but I didn't have any the past few days, ...

Possible link between type 1 and 2 diabetes

Obesity: Double diabetes threat?

The Sacamento Bee
Jul. 11, 2005 04:45 PM

The obesity epidemic appears to be fueling a hybrid type of diabetes that afflicts adults and children and, some believe, may increase the devastating complications of the disease.

Dubbed "double diabetes" by some and "diabetes one-and-a-half" by others, the combination of types 1 and 2 diabetes symptoms confounds doctors attempting to accurately diagnose patients and find the best medicines to treat them. ...

Diet Humor

My friend from High School sent this to me and thought #2 & 3 were a riot...

The Washington Post publishes a yearly contest in which readers
are asked to supply alternate meanings for various words.

The following were some of this year's winning entries:

1. Coffee (n.), a person who is coughed upon.

2. Flabbergasted (adj.), appalled over how much weight you
have gained.

3. Abdicate (v.), to give up all hope of ever ...
