Well, I just wanted to introduce myself, because I feel like I am starting out on this journey and will need all of you as guidence and support.

I am 47 years old, married, with two grown children and one lovely adorable 6yr old granddaughter whom I adore. :D

OK. I cheated. Badly.
I was angry :x yesterday because in 10 days I've only lost 4.5 pounds and haven't cheated once. So I made a choice. I weighed myself last evening and when I saw my weight hadn't moved down the scale, I ordered a medium Canadian bacon pizza and ate the whole thing. Why bother, I told myself. ...

I have been on diets so long I think I forgot what it means. The word diet has become a dirty word so I looked it up.

Diet - to choose certain foods to improve health or lose weight.

The word that gets me is choose. I am not being forced - I am making a quality decision - how empowering. At the end of the day the choice I make about what I eat ...

Yesterday I bought some Honey BBQ spice from the local grocery store and sprinkled a little bit on my chicken. It was pretty good, in fact, the only bbq spice that I've actually found to have a real BBQ taste to it. When I was looking at the label though, I noticed that the first ingredient was sugar. Nothing was listed in terms of how many grams.

I don't think this will throw me out ...

My husband paid me the kindest backhanded compliment this past weekend....we were in Daytona Beach walking in a crowd and I was some ways ahead of him. Well, he told me he lost me in the crowd as he could no longer recognize me from behind. After this many years he couldnt recognize my butt as it has gotten too small!

I could have kissed him, right there and then. Brings new meaning to -small- ...
