Medifast - change of name?

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I'll put it here.

Many of my friends and family want to know how I lost weight. When I tell them "Medifast", they all think it is some kind of a fast I've been on. In fact, it wasn't until I was on the program for weeks that I figured out the name "Medifast" implied fast weight loss, not starvation fast.

I wonder how many people are ...

Starting over at minus square one!

Hi everyone,

My name is Judy, and I'm starting day 3 of my MF re-start journey. I lost over 50 lbs. on this program, then I fell off hard! I gained 70 lbs. back. I am sad, ashamed, but also humbled by the wonderful work people are doing on this list.

High Potassium Level

Just got a call from my doctor stating that I had an "emergency reading" in my blood test taken yesterday. He said my potassium level is too high at 5.7. I think he said 5.3 is the highest acceptable number. But, he is questioning the validity of the test results because he said the rest of my blood work wasn't just good...it was excellent. So I've got to go in tomorrow morning to take another ...

We hope the wait was worth it - it's here at last!

 The sun sets earlier and like a teasing schoolboy, it lingers below the horizon a bit later in the mornings.

The fog rolls in off the river leaving sparkling dew on the chrysanthemums; the air is cool and the trees are shedding their leaves announcing the arrival of the fall season.

It’s time to button up the barbecue, put away the patio furniture and make a ...

Toni-mom-of-4

Today is the 2nd day of MF.
Yesterday, I had beef broth soup with cut up steak and broccoli, then for dinner was just a salad.
For lunch today, I chopped up eggplant with seasoning and added tomatoes.
For dinner, I plan to make whole chicken and take out my pieces and put it in a salad.

Newbie: Toni

I started mf last month, and I was only into it for 3 days and gave up. I was so miserable when the whole family was eating dessert every night and I had to suffer!!! So I thought to myself, I should be happy not miserable, even if it means gaining weight.

I am also doing LipoDissolve- (let me know if you dont know what it is) I went to my appt last week, and ...

Program or On Your Own?

I have been reading this board and have decided that Medifast could be for me. Was wondering whether the benefits of a formal program (weigh in, classes, etc.) justify the expense or whether more of you do it on your own (with the help of this board, of course). I do not have medical problems and would be doing the 5-1 rather than a full fast. I have about 30 pounds to lose. Also, like ...

Introducing myself

I am starting my fourth week of Medifast and I have lost 14 pounds so far. I am SO excited about this! I had asked my doctor about going on a liquid diet and she said she didn't recommend it. I was very disappointed but a few days later I saw a Medifast commercial on tv and did a lot of research the next few days. I called my dr. to ask her about it ...
