Dental Crowns & Teeth-Grinding: HELP!!!

Hello everyone,

On Weds. 12/27, I had my first crown (temp for now) put on my left lower furthest back molar. There was a LOT of drilling. I went in at 4:00 and was told I'd be out around 4:45 but it was really 5:20 when I was set free from the chair of doom. (I love my dentist so far but this stunk.)

The reason I relay this story of woe is that I ...

Starting weight probably not accurate - what's your opinion?

Hi - I'm including a poll with this one.

I bought a new scale yesterday. My old one was really fluctuating wildly - like 50 pounds wild - but eventually after much perserverance I got a weight of 258.2. I was expecting 265 so that was nice.

After buying the new scale, I got a weight of 266-264 throughout the day - pretty accurate I think because it was closer to what I was expecting. ...

Surgery Scheduled

Surgery scheduled for January 2nd. Doc seemed to be in a rush. Said ideally it would be nice if the infection was all gone by then, but no guarantee it will be. As he explained it to me the main trouble is that the operating rooms for non-emergency surgery are booked through February, meaning if I don't have it done on Tuesday, the next opening will be sometime in March. He doesn't want to wait ...

Struggling with 20lbs to go

I CAN'T DO THIS!! What is wrong with me??? After 15lbs gone in 3 wks, I got very sick over Christmas and did not eat for 4 days. Then I took a day to make sure I was OK--so I was "off plan" for 5 days, lost 5 lbs, then gained 8 back in a matter of hours. So now I'm up 3 pounds.
I was 100% compliant for 2 full days and factor in ...

Success or failure? Need a dash of advice....

Hi - I posted all this in my journal but I had some questions and I wondered if anyone would be willing to offer an opinion?

I got a gift certificate for a nearby restaurant for Christmas and we used it tonight. I ordered a plain steak, salad with low-cal Italian, and sauteed vegetables.

The steak was listed as 12oz so I immediately cut it in half and saved that, and the salad, for tomorrow's ...

Quick start guide?

Hi all;

I've read a lot about the Quick start guide and how I should read it. However - when I placed my order this time it wasn't technically my first, even though it's been several months since I ordered - so I didn't get the Quick start guide and I don't have it from last time. It is online somewhere? And would you all recommend the books that you can get, or will the ...
