Hey Gang, I'm Baaaaaaaaack! MIKE........JEANETTE

Hi all,
There is a lot of "new" people on the forum since I left in mid February! I'm back to try again. The good news is I haven't gained any of the weight I lost while I was on the program. I have been making alot better/healthier food choices than before and jogging 4 miles a day again, which I love. I guess now that I'm starting back on this program, I'll only be ...

Operation Shake Down Has Begun

I tell ya what, I never knew a pickle could taste sooooo good. First I sucked the juice out of it, I was very surprised and delighted to know how much juice one pickle could hold; then I sucked the seeds off of it, there were lots of seeds just for my enjoyment then I ate the peel of it -- quite enjoyable I might add then I actually ate the pickle---what was left. It ...

Guilt

This is re-posted with the author's permission from another discussion board I frequent. I thought it might be helpful to all of us.

I’ve noticed that there are a lot of references to guilt, confession, and cheating in our posts. While I’m not trying to be politically correct, I do believe that guilt has no place in our diets. What we’re doing is training (or retraining) ourselves to adopt a healthy lifestyle. We’re training ...

Still here and feeling great :)

I haven’t posted in a long time and I thought it was about time that I did. :) I read all the posts every day and am so very proud of you guys for the changes in your attitudes towards everything. I see the difference between when a newbie first posts and the despair in their voices and then after about 2 weeks on program. The posts ...

just want to introduce myself

I'm kinda new and know I will need support. I struggle with wanting to eat not because I'm hungry but because thats what I do. I want to change that so I'd like to use this forum to "share" what's going on instead of eating over it.

Broth limits???

Help! I am on day 5... and have been keeping the "hungries" away by drinking a cup of broth between shakes. The "Success In A Shaker Jar" book says they are unlimited, as long as there are no more than 4 cals. per 8 oz. serving. But I just read on the boards that I can only have 2 cups a day!!! Oh, Oh!!! I have not stepped on the scale since starting Friday... and ...

Off Topic - A great devotional for those who are interested

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
Psalm 86:5

Failure is not a terminal condition, unless we allow it to be. We may stumble, but if we repent and receive the correction and instruction from God, we will find grace and mercy and the ability to keep stepping forward on our journey.
Ignoring and making excuses for our failures, leaves us stagnate ...

Hi Everybody,
I had to take my Dad back to the hospital yesterday. He has developed an infection in the lower leg (same leg of the knee replacement). We're not sure yet what type of infection or if the infection is in the knee itself (which would be very bad).

Please keep him in your prayers ...... we need all the help we can get right now. I'm on my way up to the hospital, ...
