I have been reading all of the posts on here about how to spice up the chili. Someone (sorry can't remember who) suggested making a taco salad by putting the chili on a bed of shredded lettuce.

I am planning on purchasing some of the Medifast products, but I am stumped on what I should purchase. I am leaning more towards the Medifast 55 Starter Kit, but it says that it is supposed to last 28 days if you follow the 5 in 1 plan. However, also in the details it reads that there are only 84 boxes. I calculated and figured that there should be at least 140 boxes to last ...

Hi all! Can someone do me a favor and post the directions for the soups? are they both 1 cup of water? I flavor & pre-nuke my soups in the a.m. so the times don't really matter.

I just wanted to mention that the South Beach Diet has a really great recipe for anyone who misses MASHED POTATOES.

Buy fresh califlower. Clean it and break it into small pieces. Steam the califlower, (I sprinkle on bullion granules during steaming) then put it in a food processor or blender and add spices until your heart is content. You can experiment with the flavor but it honestly resembles mashed potatoes.

I did not see artichokes on the "approved" list for the lean and green portion of the 5&1 plan.

However, when they are in season, we tend to buy them steam them and dip them in melted Brummel & Brown butter blend. I know the B&B is probably not on the plan, but how about just plain old steamed artichokes?

I don't think we will be getting rid of these off our our weekly menu ...
