First, I am in TN and we are having extremely cold temps here, but not unheard of. I am always HOT! But yesterday, I was not hot and today I am COLD! I have to admit it is a welcomed change from always being hot. Has anyone else experienced a change like this? ;)

For those of you just starting out, and getting the 'rumblies'-
I thought I'd 'stick it out' the first couple of days to see if they went away- but they didn't, and besides, it's socially embarassing! :shock:

Those little lactaid tablets are magic! They're inexpensive, really small, chewable, and I just took 1/2 a tab with my shakes today, and the 'rumblies' completely disappeared!

I have had no problems this past week and weekend. Not temptation even really. But today I AM STRUGGLING! I have had two shakes and a bar already today!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I don't even LIKE the bars!!!!!!! I am trying SOOOOOOOOOO hard to get busy with school work or house work to get my mind off this horrible feeling - I feel tired, grouchy etc etc etc. Thought since I got past first 5 days I ...

Things are going good. I still think about food but it does't obsess me. I still enjoy grilling for my family even though i cannot eat any of it. I still sit and drink water while they are eating and it doesn't really bother me. I am still trying to not seperate me from everyone else even though what i am doing is totally different than what they are doing. I feel good but am ...

And this vanilla shake is not tooooo bad....but I am drinking it in a cool wine glass, on the rocks...and it filled me up ...WAHOO...that is a great beginning, don't you think?? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: ...

I JUST WANT TO SAY ADVICE ON TAKING METAMUCIL WAS NICE BUT I USED STOOL SOFTNERS INSTEAD. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS THE SAME BUT IT SURE DID HELP ME.

I AM SO EXCITED MY DAUGHTER WILL BE STARTING THE PROGRAM NEXT WEEK I AM SO EXCITED.

So....I am doing the complete plan except when an occasion arises to have dinner with friends etc etc. The question is.....can I have a green salad with hard boiled egg whites instead of chicken? (whites only, no yolks...)?????????

Does anyone else out there have fibromyalgia?

I'm on Day 3, and taking the joint health shakes as part of my program. I'm already feeling less 'achey'- part of that, I'm sure, is getting off of wheat- a known food intolerance I have. But I'm also thinking Unca and Mike are right about the health benefits of a rich amino acid based shake like Medifast . . .

Any other experiences out there?

I've never been much of a cook, however my body SO craves salt. Why is that by the way? In any case, I've been reading about people drinking bullion and I think I want to as well. Now, I know what bullion cubes are. But how to I make bullion to drink? Do I just buy the cubes and add water, or, does it come in ready to drink brands. And if so, which brand ...
