water

In another thread I was reading about water - how important it is. Someone else wrote about how much they DON'T like to drink water and that's me. Just don't like the stuff. So ... here's what I do:

Sprinkle a little Crystal Light in there to flavor it.

Set goals - 16 oz before 10 AM, 16 more before lunch. etc.

While I'm in the kitchen I drink 16 oz. (I'm on 5+1 so ...

striving for perfection

Hey all, I thought it would be better to write in here than to give in to my HUUGE cravings for food...i dont know what but anything, really. Unfortunately, giving in to these cravings are probably what has made ME huge! I just ate a fruit and nut bar, which was really really good (my first one) so it's not as if I'm actually hungry. It's more that this is my third day of being ...

Maintenance Tools

In transition now, soon I'll be on the Maintenance Highway. For those who are well travelled there, what do you use to educate yourself on calories, carbohydrates, and fat content? Do you carry a little book that has all the different foods with their numbers?

Also, as for journaling, what do you use? Do you carry it with you and note what you eat right afterwards, or do you do it all later that night? ...

Reflections - Especially for those who have not yet started!

Hello, especially to those who are still contemplating starting the MediFast program. I would like to share with you my past 6 months as motivation for you to get started and convince you that MediFast WORKS!

6 months ago:
I could barely walk. Even a trip to the bathroom took 45 minutes. 30 minutes to "prepare" for the pain of the trip and 15 to actually make that short walk there and back. I was ...

Sunday Morning Roll Call, November 28, 2004

Can it be - we are here - after Thanksgiving and less than a month from Christmas??? What a whirlwind of a year!

I have another 3 to report this week which I'm actually very pleased with given the circumstances. Not only did I survive "turkey day" intact - my family actually cooked healthier choices than the traditional calorie/carb laden faire, but I also acted responsibly, doing exactly what I said I would do. It ...

The 900 Club....

I was sent this link relating to EXTREME OBESITY and those in the “900” club (weighing more than 900 pounds) I thought it very sad, and VERY informative – bringing to the light some people and what they have become. I asked Nancy, and Tim about posting the link, and was given the green light

Caution – some fairly graphic photos.

Restart and into day two & doin' great!!!

After lurking around the forums for a while and seeing Camille's great success, I decided to go ahead and restart the day after Thanksgiving. I kept thinking as I read her posts "Hey, I could be where she is RIGHT NOW if I had just stuck with it". Well, no use crying over spilled medifast...just a great time to go ahead and re-start. This year I won't have so many temptations this season as I ...

One Week into Transition

Howdy Gang,

Yesterday was Thanksgiving, and my 7th day of transition. I had 6 days of 5 shakes and 3-4 oz of lean turkey. Yesterday was the start of my second week so for this week I'll have 5 shakes, 3-4 oz of lean meat, and 1 to 2 cups of salad daily. It was neat that I got to start the salad when it was Thanksgiving Day so I felt like I had something ...
