Just Started Optifast in Australia

Hi Guys, I've been cruising through your forums and they seem to be an invaluable resource, I wish we had something similar here in Australia, but to date I can't find much. :(

I am 32 and weigh in at 130kg, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 3 years ago and have dropped about 13kg in that period with some yo yo weight loss and ...

SOO Confused..

Nancy told me you would!! Ok, here's my real problem.. I have been admonished to not work out, and as much as I like the sound of it, ...

Follow the path!

Dear Friends,

Many of you may not know me, it has been awhile since I have been on the board. But I just had to drop in to say. Please if you are doing Medifast for the first time, follow the plan as they have it layed out. You can trick yourself into believing that the way your doing it will work, a little nibble here and there wont hurt. Well it does, I tried ...

Me and hubby on Medifast (a newbie's progress)

Hi again, everybody!

My hubby and I have both been on Medifast (5&1) since New Year’s Day and we are both feeling GREAT!!! :bouncie:

The first day was easy for both of us. Then day two got difficult…my stomach staged a rebellion with massive cravings and other weirdly sensations I never knew I could feel…but I stuck to it. By day three, hubby felt pretty normal with ...

Soybeans (Edamame, Tofu)

Hi all; I'm a newbie here, on Day 2.

I have a question about soybeans. I love edamame -- are they acceptable as a "green vegetable?" And can tofu be used as the "lean protein" in the "lean and green" meal of the day?

You are all so inspiring -- I hope I can keep up with you all!

Thanks!

Power Tools for Maintenance

On New Year's Day, I decided it was best to have a treat in the way of grilled rib-eye steaks. For Christmas I received the Cuisinart Griddler so this was the perfect test drive for it. Man o man! This little dealie is terrific for grilling chicken and other meats. Talk about fast since it cooks the top and bottom at the same time. The extra fat is allowed to drain off making it healthier ...

Getting Meals In

Hi All,

Does anyone else have trouble getting all the meals in? And I'm not talking about hunger but about TIME! I am currently doing the 5 and 1 plan. If I am trying to eat every 3 hours (and let's not even talk about 4 hours) I am running out of time. I really dont want to have a shake or meal replacement at 10 or 11 at night. Is it okay to only ...

30# club

Please bump me up to the 30# club! Although I'm not losing as quickly as others whom I see on the Forum, I'm happy with the direction that the scale is taking (downward instead of upward). And happy with the fact that I lost over the holidays instead of gaining like I'm sure I did every other year.
Thanks for the support in 2004 ... I'm even more excited about 2005!
