Newbie here!

Postby ReneeMc » February 2nd, 2006, 8:44 am

Hi. I started MF on 1/18/06. I'm down 13#!!! I'm so excited to find this place. I need all the encouragement I can get! I've been able to stick with this plan even though I lost my mom last Sunday. :( I never realized all the awesome food people bring to funerals! I ate my MF through it all.

Hello Renee, and welcome to this forum. I started on 1/17, and have lost 14lbs.... we're pretty close! I'm so sorry for your loss, I am sure I wouldn't have been able to keep on MF during such a difficult time, and you are such an inspiration to me!

I love this forum because even if you just go through and read some of the older posts, it can lift your spirits for the day.. it helps me a lot!

Everyone here is wonderful!!

Renee, I'm sorry to hear about your mom, you have my deepest sympathy, I'm going through a similar situation - my father is dying from cancer and only has a little time left - that's one reason I chose to start MF even now - I want to have the energy and stamina to help my mom go through this time.

There's lots of support here - I've been amazed. Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
Maria

Renee

I send you and your family my thoughts and prayers. Ashes put it so well what an inspiration you are to the rest of us for sticking to the program through what I am sure is a terribly difficult time. It really puts it into prespective for me when at the slightest little bump I have to really fight the urge to eat!!! Keep shakin and know that there are a lot of us praying for you!!

Renee, Hi and welcome to the forum! I, too, lost a loved one on December 26 and was able to stick to the program throughout. All the food came to my house as I live in the homestead. I fed everyone else and was thankful that I didn't have to cook on top of all the other stress. I truly believe that being true to the Medifast plan helped me get through that very difficult time. My condolences to your and your family.

Hi Renee!
I too am so sorry for your loss. You've done good sticking with the plan and should be proud.

I lost my Mom 3 months ago and didn't know about MF yet. It was a terrible time for me and food was a comfort I shouldn't have turned too.
You're so lucky and smart to be making the right choices.

My sincere sympathy to you and your family.

Renee, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I am also going through a rough time this week with family matters. I can relate to how difficult it is to stay on plan when everything around you seems to be caving in, and in the past food was a quick fix for an instant high...however short lived that high might have been. I just wanted to say that if you are staying on plan now, you are guaranteed to be a success long after your troubles start to ease. You are making an amazingly powerful decision for yourself....and your mother is probably smiling down on you with pride.

Congratulations on all your early success and know that all of us are here to support you and help you through all the highs and lows.

Hi Renee,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad almost 3 years ago. I can tell you it gets better but, you'll still have moments when you just miss her or you're sure you heard her (I love those moments).

Welcome to the boards. Sounds like you're doing awesome. Congrats!

Shakin',
Stela
