I bought a new WW digital scale ( I was using a very cheap analog one that I could barely read) and I went from 155.5 pounds to 157.4.

scales always vary...the way i see it ..i have 2 scales that tell me the same thing...but another scale that tells me im more... but even if it said more...or even if i was heavier than i thought... i still lost all the weight i did... and my goal isnt so much in weigh as it is in how i feel about my body dont worries ! your still doing good

I think WW does it on purpose..

I have a WW scale and it is the bane of my existence. Depending on where I place it on the bathroom floor, or how I stand on it, can make a difference of .5 to 3 pounds!! (I've found the flying one-footed dodo bird mount with a twist works best..)

So is it basically a $60 piece of crapola??? I threw out my last digi scale because it varied when I moved it around too. Do all of them do that?

Yeah, I found if I balance more on my heels than toes, I weigh less. LOL

if the ww scale you have is glass, it is like the one my ex uses-- and it is VERY accurate. i recently bought a taylor and i gotta say that the only thing that makes that scale fluctuate is my eating and drinking.

just give it a chance. with the heat, you will retain water and fluctuate, but it should level out. if you aren't sure, get an inanimate object that can register on the scale and use that as your litmus test.

I love my WW scale (the one with glass on top) and it's as accurate as my doctor's scale.

my husband, whom I am TOTALLY mad at right now, and cant believe I am even talking about. Says that our scale at home Always weighs him about 4 lbs heavier than the medical scale at his work(Marines). By the way, Marines are very mean, and they lie, and they are not nice!

I'm scale shopping today myself...I'm tired of replacing the batteries on this one monthly, getting expensive. I SWEAR I don't weigh that much! I don't! I don't!

My expensive Tanita weighs me four pounds heavier than my Doctor's scale does! I put my Tanita away and got out my old friendly analog scale to use instead....I can only see half-pound changes on it, and it weighs me the same as my dr's scale does. I don't care anymore if I see .2, .4, .6, .8! I just hate the Tanita....it's very CRUEL!

Well I have a digi scale that I got at walmart, not too expensive. First scale we ever owned. It is pretty much dead on with the dr scale. No matter where I move it the number is always the same. I just replaced the battery for the first time and we have had it for a couple years.

My Tanita has the body fat % on it too and that thing is so wrong. The % changes from one time of day to another. Sometimes it goes up or down by 5% in one day. It even told me that my fat perentage at 20 lbs lighter was the same as it was when I started!! It's supposed to tell your % by sending electricity through your feet from one foot to the other and measuring the resistance. I don't think that even works.

yeah, th tanita scales are know for wide fluctuation. the taylor i bought actually gives you a fat readout as well as a water %. it also has 2 body type settings, regular and athletic, so that heavily muscled people get a beter idea of their body composition and it doesn't just register everyone like a bowl of jelly.

I replaced my old analog with a WW Digital Scale, not the one with the glass top. I am pleased with it for it keeps moving downward as fast as my clothes are getting bigger. As long as the scale moves in the right direction, I don't worry about scale comparisons. Haven't compared it to my doctor's scale but will next month, but for now, this one works for me! I may be pleasantly surprised at the doctor's office or maybe not. For me, right now, it is how great and healthy I have been feeling!
