I got an okay from my doctor last week, so I will be starting my program as soon as I move to Arizona next week! I am around 202lbs now, and hope to lose at least 50 lbs in the next six months (BMI ~22). I am really excited about this program. A friend of mine has lost around 60lbs, and I am encouraged by many of the results that I've seen here.

One question: how large/heavy is the 4 week starter kit? I may have to carry it 6 blocks!

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hi Rose and welcome!

I'm also in Arizona (well, I live there, I'm not always there!) I just wanted to say welcome and I'm glad you're starting! Ask us anything you need!

The 4-week starter kit is sometimes in TWO boxes...but neither are very heavy (IMHO).

Welcome!

What part of Arizona are you moving to? We have a big MF following here. You will have to join the gang for a lean and green one night for support and motivation!

I will be moving to Tucson. I'm an east coast gal, so it will be a big change.

Thanks for the welcomes :)

Welcome! I'm not in Arizona, but I almost wish I was, given all the Zonies here.

Thanks again for the welcomes :)

I won't be bringing my scale with me to AZ. This is good for me, because I'm the type of person who gives up when I hit plateaus and such. I figure that I'll use a tape measure weekly and weigh myself whenever I go to the mall (once a month). Has anyone else done this program scale-free? Or will i just crack, and buy one when i get there?

Welcome to the team :goteam:

I know of at least a couple people on here who have done the program scale free and I can say this for them I have never seen where they had to post frustration due to seeing the number on the scale going up! Maybe you guys are onto something with this no scale thing but alas I am already hooked and could not give up my scale although I do manage now to stay off of it during the week and only weigh on Sunday!

Hi

That's so great you're not bringing your scale! I have my scale kept away from me except Tuesdays...it helps! I'm a person that lets the scale affect my moods, so not having it around and relying on the tape and the diagnostic belt helps a lot!

Good luck and have a safe trip to AZ!
