New Medigrub Announcement ~ and it is good, Folks!

Postby Nancy » January 6th, 2005, 3:04 pm

Hello out there!

:coach: Leopard Woman is pleased to announce
that a new flavor of shakes has just been released in our
Medifast 55 and Medifast 70 shake lines.
:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
Our new Banana Blitz shakes are smooth, creamy and delicious, just like our other flavors.

The great tasting Bananner shakes are soy-based, heart healthy,
low in fat and high in fiber. (No need to chew on tree bark or the fence post to get your daily dose of fiber, Kids.)

Each shake has a similar nutritional profile to the other shakes in the line, fortified with the appropriate amount of carbohydrates, calories and protein to make losing weight with Take Shape for Life a success.

These are excellent when made with 7-8 ounces of cold water and several ice cubes in a blender or with a Magic Bullet.

Ahhhh...Bananner Bliss in a shaker jar!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Banana Blitz 55 ~ $13.85 per box (7 servings/box, 48 boxes/case)

Banana Blitz 70 ~ $14.35 per box (7 servings/box, 48 boxes/case)

Oh, wait - there's more.... :guzzle:

Also new from Medifast is the Chai Latte

It smells wonderful and just preparing a serving of the decaffeinated Chai tea with cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom and other exotic spices will take you to India in your mind.

It'll make it easier to deal with the dreary dumper winter days.

Of course it has 14 grams of protein, less than a gram of flab (er, fat),
the 24 essential vitamins and amino acids you need to make a complete meal - all this and only 100 calories.

Chai Latte ~ $12.65 per box (7 servings/box)

You'll love it, too. :byebye:

I ordered one paket of chai latte to give it a try - then let it sit for a month. :)

I had it last night.....I LIKED IT!!!!! I have no idea what real-world chai latte tastes like but the MF is yummy! I'm a nutmeg & cinnamon lover and this did not disappoint. I guess I'll be ordering a box now! ;)

Thanks, Kat. Happy to hear that your buds liked it, too. Did you have it hot or cold?

Karen,

Sadly, the Nanner Shakes and Pudding are not in the diabetic formulation...

do you know that you can mix the diabetic shakes or the regular MF 55 or MF 70 shakes with 4 ounces of water rather than 8 ounces and have a puddin' of sorts? - chill it in the freezer for a few minutes to thicken it up even more.

Don't forget to use the Sugar Free artificial flavorings to jazz up a Vaniller Shake.

I am NOT a doc, I am NOT a diabetic specialist but please know that we do have a number of clients with diabetes who are able to use the regular line of Medifast shakes and products without problems whatsoever...

I had it hot. Is it just me or does hot food feel more filling? Weird. :)

I'm with you, Kat. I love the warm Medimeals. I go thru so much hot cocoa my eyes are turning brown! A friend of mine at work (who isn't MFing) gets cold easily (maybe cuz she weighs about 110 pounds even after having kids!!!), so she sometimes just goes to the office water cooler and gets herself a cup of plain hot water and slurps it down. Now *that's* weird! I ain't that desperate, but I sure do like to have hot chili, hot cocoa, hot soups, hot oatmeal ... Sticks to the ribs!

Hi Mama,

I think the chai is hot, tho I haven't ordered it because I'm not a tea person, and I think chai latte is basically a spiced tea with milk (in the "real world" anyway!). But some here really like it...

I am addicted to the cocoa, on the other hand! I usually make it with about 10 oz of hot water (yep, it's supposed to be hot), and I find it does taste different from the regular chocolate shake, and it mixes pretty well (not chunky). It really does taste like, well, hot cocoa! And it has marshmallows (if you order the marshmallow version)-- which is great! The cocoa doesn't have the thick consistency that the shakes do, so I really don't feel like I'm chugging a hot shake. Plus, I once tried to make hot cocoa with the pudding mix cuz I was out, and found that puddin' mix does NOT work well with hot water! I made myself a nasty cup of chocolately cement! So, I think that the cocoa is purposefully formulated to go well with hot water, and the shakes are probably meant to go with cold... But I'm not a mad scientist, so who knows....!

The Chai Latte is designed to be sipped hot but it is good icy cold, too. I like the cappuccino icy cold.

It is always best to mix the hot products with cool water until thoroughly mixed then heat them in the nuclear box. Don't let them boil or you'll have a gnarly soy blob...

Hi Nancy,

I was not impressed with the BANANA BLITZ. I have tried BB, CHOC and VAN, and so far the chocolate suites my taste buds well. The chicken wild rice soup is great too!!!

Well, Eddie ~

I like the Nanner shake when it is made with very cold water! It's a good thing we have such a nice selection available to please every one's different palates, eh? In the olden days, we had Dutch Choc, Vaniller, Strawberry, Orange and Orange Pineapple to select from. If we had MY way, we'd have a Salsa and Tabasco flavored shake!

It is a nice change once in a while. I experimented and made a double shake - with one packet of Choc and 1 packet of Nanner, 16 ounces of water and drank half at 10:30 AM and the other half at 1:30 PM and thought it was pretty good. I tried the same procedure with a Strawberry packet and a Nanner packet.

But of course, I am NOT in :ukulele: Hawaii like you are where the fresh Nanners grow on trees in everyone's backyard...

Ooh, Nancy & Eddie,
I LOVE the strawberry and banana mixed together. It's probably my new favorite....I do it just like you said, except I add a little ice too and drink 1/2 of it right after I fix it and then the other 1/2 later in the day. By the way, do you know how long they're good for once they've been mixed? It tastes fine, but I just wonder if I should drink it the same day or could I use it the next day? Thanks!
