New here!

Postby Jomom » March 1st, 2006, 8:07 pm

Hi everyone! I started Medifast a week ago yesterday. As of Sunday I had lost 7 pounds! :) Today I weighed and am up 2 :( I have not cheated once and was a little discouraged. After lurking here for a little while, I feel very encouraged now! Seems like this is such a great support system and lots of good information and recipes!

ups/downs

Postby LAwoman » March 1st, 2006, 8:12 pm

Hi Jomom and WELCOME!!!

Don't get discouraged by fluctuations on the scale that are daily and even weekly. If you're following MF, then it is working. Many things effect our losses/gains, like water retention, sleep, time of month... among a trillion other reasons. Stick to the plan and the plan will work for you.

I get on the scale everyday and write down my weekly weight losses, but I only take the monthly losses into consideration since I know there's other factors involved. I just like to track my losses and truthfully, I just can't stay off the scale.

Good luck to you Jomom, 7 pound loss is great in the first week.

Welcome JoMom!!

Hang in there, it works!!!! I have personally noticed the scale moves MUCH faster when I really push my water drinking limits. Works everytime!:)

You can do it!

Gina

Scale Victim

Postby Jan » March 2nd, 2006, 9:11 am

Hmmmmm
Another victim of the Scale!!! :( Ignore it!!! If you are compliant with the program, don't worry!! Just make certain you are getting in all your meals and water. Watch the snacks. Everyones weight bounces up and down a bit. Fluid as well as hormones play a big part. You just caught yourself at an "up tick"
Keep going -- you'll be fine :D

Hi jomom and welcome to the forum!

Being compliant with the Medifast plan will eventually make you feel secure even when you see the scale doing crazy things. As long as you stay on the program, you will lose weight......promise!
