My New Goal

Postby Eander5696 » January 28th, 2006, 4:16 pm

Ive decided, that to encourage me to stay on track....

1- Keep note cards in my purse to remind me why Im doing this, in moments of weakness.

2. Posted notes on my monitor that remind me...."Food Is Fuel"

3. Ive bought a book on food addiction how to analyze and overcome.

4. I have several new tank tops I bought for summer that I would like to be ready for. I hung them on the wall in my room.

After weighing in today, down almost 12 pounds after my initial start, and 4 days of having an affair with McDonalds, I came to see how attainable this is.

Ive identified my demons, and am learning to self talk myself thru them instead of just telling myself no, and feeling like Im left out of the fun. I pulled out my notecards that remind me exactly why I am changing my life.

Just thought I would post my new found path so that I am accountable.

I am so strong most of the time, and am learning exactly when I need to eat to keep the hunger from coming on so strong I can't stop it. Those moments of weakness are what have thrown me off of every program Ive ever been on, but I overcame one FINALLY. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now!!!!!!!
Food is fuel. Nothing more.

You have such a wonderful system and attitude that you can't help but succeed!!!!

Keep the note cards with you at all times....that is such a wonderful idea I might have to steal that one.

I love it that you went out and bought yourself a book, way to face your demons  and deal with them head on.

you are a success

That is a great idea! I generally try to talk to myself when I get a craving. I tell myself that what I really want is more important than what I want right now. It seems to work pretty well. I have so many reasons to lose the weight, I try to keep them in my mind.

LoriO, this says it all for me! We have to constantly remind ourselves that the long term benefits FAR outweigh the short term gratification!

Sounds as if you are very focused. I might try the note card idea myself. Keep up the good work!
