HI

Postby thininme » May 3rd, 2005, 8:55 am

Ok I am new and registered member but when I come to the site it still shows me as a guest and I can not seem to find were to get my ticker? Any help would be wonderful.

On another note, this is my second week on the MF 5-1 and I am not seeing the numbers fall however I do see a change in my clothes. I know we do not walk around with a little note stuck to us saying Hi I am Dawn and I weigh 320lbs, but seeing the numbers fall give me some 'reward" for sticking to the program. I know I have a little more difficulty losing weight due to my thyroids but still.........I want to see the numbers fall :x In my head I know it is a numbers game I play with myself but I guess if anyone would understand the yucky feeling you get when you do not see the numbers fall it would be all of you. Ok enough rambling just wanted to get it out there ;) thanks for listening (ok reading)

Dawn

Hi Dawn!

You are showing up as a registered user, so that's step one! For the ticker, so to <edit>tickerfactory dot com</edit> I think some people have them from somewhere else too, but mostly from that site. Then just cut and past the code into your signature! Voila!

Isn't it great to have your clothes start to loosen up? PersonallyI cant wait to start feeling that again (i recently recommited myself to the program, and more than numbers, which go up and down every time I step on the scale, I want to just feel i am shrinking since im positively too LARGE!)
I do sympathize about the numbers though, really. It feels awful to not see a change, but hold on and they WILL drop! If you get frustrated and decide, heck why not eat then?, then you guarantee that they WONT drop, so stick with it with me and on sunday we will both have great things to share!
Good luck, and stay strong!
~Coco

I did see you are back on track :D I think that is great. It will be a nice trip together I am sure. I just have to learn ways to deal with these kind of days. You made a wonderful point. With MF if you stay on it you will sooner or later see them drop but if I eat like I was before the will for sure never move down but will move up 8). Thanks again and for telling me how to get my ticker. I am off to get one now.

Hi Thininme!!
Those tickers ARE fun, uh? I just got mine a couple of days ago, but I've already changed it about 3 times. I kept picking out ones that I saw other gals had, and I didn't want them to think I was a copycat!!

But, I think the real reason was because I just liked playing with it. I guess everytime I have a loss and I have to update it, then I'll make a new one.

Oh yeah, I was going to tell you that I take medication for my thyroid also....don't worry - the weight will come off. I had about a whole week when I wasn't seeing ANY change in the #'s, then all of a sudden - WHAM BAM, it started falling off again. When do you take your pill? I used to take mine at night before I went to bed, but now I take it in the morning when I first get up - and then wait about an hour before I have my first shake. I read somewhere that the soy in the shakes might prevent the synthroid from breaking down right or something...?? :? Anyway, don't know if that really helped or not...but it might be worth a try.

Take it easy & don't get discouraged...just keep on track & it'll pay off!!

Yes FatBGone (Lisa)~~ you're right....we hate copy catters around here. :x DO NOT.... I REPEAT... :coach:....DO NOT...........COPY ME.

That means you can't LOSE WEIGHT...........YOU CAN'T KEEP YOUR CHIN UP IN TIMES OF STRUGGLE..........YOU CAN'T GET THE PILATES DVD'S..............YOU CAN'T DRINK MY FLAVOR OF FAVORITE SHAKE WITH MY FAVORITE FLAVOR OF DaVinici Syrup. ........ I could go on and on but I am suppose to be working.

You put whatever ticker you want Lisa. No one will mind. I promise. We are just sooooooo glad you are a part of us.

Gotta run, just had to tease you a little.

You laugh . . . but . . . I got a nasty Private Message from a member here a little while ago because my ticker at that time (I change them periodically too) looked similar -- not identical, just similar -- to hers.

Mind you, I'm the first person to have used a ticker here, and I think it's great that everybody else does -- doesn't bother me a bit that I started a trend. But this person took it as a personal insult, and told me that she was very upset that I had copied her.

Just a quick note that you all are to funny and do make me laugh  I do take my sythroid 300mcg! first thing in the morning and wait over an hour before my shake.

I would like some recipes to "fix" up the shakes a little. If you have any good ones please email me...the forum whick list them is to large...but I will keep looking.

Oh my gosh 24k  I can't imagine someone doing that! I'm sorry that happened but at least they sent a PM and not put that negativity on this fabulous board!

Welcome Thininme! Did you try the lean cuisine section for recipes? If not take a look! Lots of cool ideas!

Donica,
You're soo funny!! I was mostly kidding too...ya know??!!?? But it was so weird, because the first ticker I picked was these little bubbles with a pink fish & then within minutes I saw someone (can't remember who) else who had that one, so I went back and changed it to the grass with the little ladybug, and then I noticed Ms April had that one, so I went and changed it again...I just thought it was funny that out of all the possible combinations that the first 2 I picked were already being used...so now I have a not so cool one, but oh well...it'll do.

And 24K, I wouldn't have ever imagined that someone would have actually been "offended" enough to send you a PM....that's just TOOO funny! Oh well....different strokes for different folks!! But, at least, like Donna said, she didn't put it out for everyone to see, but now the secret's out...hehe!!

24K I can't believe someone was upset over a ticker. Maybe they were majorly stressed. Maybe someone had made a huge cake and sat it down in front of them, and they had to watch everyone eat it while they sipped on their shake. (This is what happened to me at lunch today :hammerhead1: )

I am sorry you had to experience that.

I too have changed my ticker a couple of times. You're right Lisa, it is hard to get one that doesn't resemble someone else's. Don't worry if it looks like mine, I won't get mad.

Lisa, here is a link to tons of shake recipes in the Lean Cuisine forum.

Shake Recipes

Maybe that will help you find some recipes you can enjoy.

Well none of you have to worry about me stealing a ticker-- I'm lucky to just be able to use the faces   Sometimes things show up and I have NO idea of what happened and then sometimes things just magically dissappear -- wouldn't you know my husband is a retired soft-ware engineer-- nothing rubbed off on me --- As to the scale I UNDERSTAND - if you read "I'm stuck " you'll see -- my suggestion is to stay off the scale awhile and then you'll have a surprise when you get on -- if you carefully follow the program the fat has to come off  :D

Not that you aren't a trendsetter 24K, but I think they popped up here in November 2004 ;)

I think they are tres cool, although maybe a webmaster's headache heh!

Like DonicaB says, we are all aiming to be copycats! Spread that weight loss around!

Well.........I don't have a ticker........never did.......don't believe in em'.....too much work to keep up......I am just like the Tin Man before he met the wizard.....NO TICKER!

I am sending nasty PM's to everyone whose lack of a ticker looks just like my lack of a ticker. I am tired of people copying me.......I am drawing the line darn it!!

This HAS to STOP!! :x

Dean

P.S. If I DID have a ticker........it would be just like 24K's..........only I wouldn't complain...........so long as she didn't.........hehe
