New find....is it too good to be true?

I found a surprisingly wonderful tasting drink. It is made by Sturm's and is called Spiced Cider. It can be prepared cold or hot. I tried it hot and it is really good. It comes 10 to a box in little pouches like the Crystal Light "to go". I paid $2.78 at Walmart for a box of 10 packets.

Nutritional facts...
10 calories
2 carbs

first ingredients are Malic Acid, Maltodextrin, Natural flavors, Sodium Citrate

Anyone know, are these ingredients ok?

:idea: I am sure someone more knowledgable(sp?) will come along but I do know that maltodextrin is the first ingredient listed in Splenda and we are allowed moderate amounts of that..I think the only thing that might be iffy would be the carbs..at 2 g per packet that could add up fast and cause slowdown in weightloss, if you are "carb sensetive" as some people on this plan have noted for themselves.

My personal opinion would be that having a packet a day or perhaps even two, wouldnt hurt unless YOU are carb-sensetive.

Given that each is 10 calories, if you do use this, you would need to count it just as you would if you drink Propel or more than 1 serving of crystal light.
Calories add up and can slow the loss, as can the carbs. If the 2 g of carbs are dietary fiber (which you don't really count), then its just the 10 calories. More likely though its 10 calories from the carbs.
Since it is sugar free it shouldn't affect ketosis, but just don't use this often as the calories do add up.

Thanks Gina and Mike. I will keep it to one per day. It doesn't taste "diet" at all. I love it hot and its such a large serving (2 cups). Anyone else try this?
