Hi Biki.

Couldn't agree more. I have a LOT of clothes (esp. size 14 - 16 - most designer or top notch labels) that I be would more than happy to give to a new 'family' member in the forum. I just returned from a 3 week cruise and bought an entire new wardrobe as I had not vacationed in ages and needed everything new. Gowns, pants, jackets, shorts, etc.

So hopefully, as I bid a fond farewell to them, if you're interested in saying 'howdy' - let me know!

I ordered a designer wedding dress (for a mere $4400). I can't wait to go in for the first fitting and shock the designer (and myself). It was ordered in a 16. I'd love to have to have some major alterations. :D :D

Seriously, everyday I am just searching for little ways to stay on track. Pictures on my bathroom mirror? Quotes printed and taped on the refrigerator? Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!!!

Look for your fat pics. Search all over. Especially the fashion faux pas ones. Check my threads for older examples. Oh, and I meant I couldn't fit in size 16 pants yet. :) Sorry for the confusion.

Great idea about the fat pics. That is what really got me determined to do something. When I saw pics of myself recently, I wanted to cry. I don't feel that huge - but the scale, the pics, the clothes don't lie.

I have an amazing fiance -who constantly tells me (and is sincere) that I am beautiful, sexy, etc. Obviously, I love the compliments and wouldn't want it any other way (my ex-husband was verbally abusive), but I can't wait to get this extra weight off so I feel the way that he describes me.

We'll cheer each other on during this journey. You're on your way to a size 16 and if you're interested then (and I have lost my weight), let's talk about the clothes!

Good luck and thanks for the encouragement through sharing your story.
Cheers!

Jody,

If I can make a couple of suggestions...... I work in the food industry. I am constantly in and out of high end restaurants. They constantly want to feed me.

1st thing. Right before I go into the restaurant I put a piece of Spicy cinnamon gum in my mouth (no desire to eat)

2nd RTD"S ready to drink shakes. They are the best thing ever. If they never made this I think I would probably be off this program. Reason is the smell of the container in the car was not pleasant when I had to mix it..

Hope this helps congrats on Joining.

Image JODY,
It's an exciting journey to thinness and healthy living, and the more you throw yourself into it, the more exciting it is...
and before you know it, you are where you want to be!
Not that there won't be some bumps along the road :drive: but you will have tons of help and encouragement if you just ask for it!
