New to all this

Postby pnrmiller231 » April 24th, 2006, 2:19 pm

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to Medifast and have not even recieved my order yet, Friday hopefully. I am very nervous about not being able to stick with it and giving up too soon, which is what I did with every other diet that I have ever been on. I have tried the traditional diets like Weight Watchers and LA Weight Loss but the cooking and shopping and packing a lunch for myself everyday I just couldnt do it. I'm hoping that this will be the one for me. I just talked to my health advisor and will be doing the full program, no "lean and green meal". If anyone has any tips or tricks to make it easier and/or stick with it longer than my usual 2 days I would greatly appreciate it. My email is <snip>no emails please - Mr. Snippy</snip>.
Thanks
Rach

Rach,

Welcome and I just sent you an e-mail although I did let you know that it (your email address in your post) will probably be snipped out soon so you are not bombarded with spam!

I told you how to register that way people can PM you and you can put your email on your profile.

You will love this and it will work!

The quick success helped a lot in the beginning. Other than that, I have no tricks. At first you just have to MAKE yourself do it. Later, it becomes more second nature. But there are always temptations, and most of us have to make a conscious choice every day (or many times a day) to stick with the plan.

The plan works if you follow it, but I'm afraid it's not magic.

Good luck to you!!

I find that coming here every day to read and absorb helped me tremendously in the beginning. Piece of cake now and I'm only in my 2nd month!

This is the ONLY plan I have been able to stick with longer than 3 weeks.
The convenience of everything being packaged per meal helped too. I HATED having to figure out what I was going to eat for the day, much less an entire week and then having to prepare everything! BLECH!

I need easy or no preparation, fast results, positive reinforcement and some applause/pats on the back for what accomplishments I make and thats what I have gotten here. There is a whole heck of alot of love and encouragement here...and plenty enough for you too. Visit often...post...you'll see what I mean. ;)

You can do this and we're all here for you! Image

Hi

Postby dede4wd » April 25th, 2006, 10:11 pm

I agree totally with what Joelie and Robin said.

Nothing was more motivating to me than 16lbs in 2 weeks, 27lbs in a month, 40lbs in 2 months.

Want to cheat? Me? NO WAY I'm not slowing down this train!

You can do it! Just commit. PROMISE yourself you will stick to this plan 100% for a MONTH (or two weeks, whatever amount of food you bought). Just to make sure you give the plan a full chance. If you do, I PROMISE you you'll be pleasantly surprised!

As for the ease and convenience, you can't BEAT Medifast! I travel 260-280 days a year and I physically couldn't do most of those other programs on the road, but here I am, chugging along the Medizone on this one, 40lbs thinner!

I'm glad you got a Health Advisor...but make sure you check with your doc before you start the "complete" plan! I'm the worrywart on the board!

DeDe

P.S. WELCOME!

We're glad to have you here! Read a lot and post even more often. There is a lot of knowledge and success on this board and it can be yours, as well! I also agree with DeDe ... don't do the complete plan without checking with your doctor, first.
