I need some serious.....@**%&#~&&@

Postby RoleModel_Mom » April 5th, 2006, 6:50 am

Okay! I know I know...I shouldn't have! But I was miserable coughing like anything for past 2 days...no sleep....no energy  ...on top of that .... Mom is visiting from my country and made a great home-made meal that I haven't had in years.....so, the demon in me came out  I caved in... EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES...when will I learn!

I had carb loaded meal last night! But I am trying to get back on track today....I hope I can do this. Cough is still there...but I got some good rest last night after 2 sleepless nights. So I am keeping my fingers crossed hoping I won't screw this up now!

So, basically I need your help to give me ear's full :3head: :x on not messing it up ever again!
Soni

Hi Soni!!! :3head: hehe

Look, you've been ill, sleep deprived, and I know better than anyone how tempting mom's cooking is! Now, if you're still couging and it's not letting up, it's time to call the doctor! You may need a prescription to clear that up!

A couple of OTC remedies I recommend for a severe cough is Mucinex to break up the mucus and Delsym. Delsym is powerful cough remedy. It does have sugar in it, BUT you need VERY LITTLE and it lasts 12 hours! Desperate times call for desperate measures. I'd also recommend getting Celestal Seasoning's Sleepy Time Tea before bed.

You may have a rough few days with cravings because of the carbs last night. Resolve now that you will NOT give in to those cravings! And when they do hit, say "I can resist anything for an hour" and do that every hour until those cravings die off.

We're here for you!!! Keep posting!!! Keep reading!!!!

Get well soon!!!

Thanks Joyce, for the tips. I will try them all today. And thanks for the encouragement. I really don't want to go off the plan as it is giving me great results.

OK :hide: I did not see that you ate a carb loaded meal! I refuse to see that. lol

What really matters in all this is that you came here which shows that you are determined to do this right. I would concur with Joyce that you really need to get to your Dr and he could probably prescribe you something with no sugar in it. Have some wonderful MF soup and get the rest you need. :snooze:

Let us know how you are feeling

This is a lifetime plan, and while we are all trying to divorce food from special occasions up to a point, there are some REAL special occasions when I think it just might be worth it to go off a bit. Birthdays? You'll have another one next year. Easter or Christmas? Same thing.

But given that your mom lives in another country ... it just might be worth it. I don't know how old you are or your mom is, but if you live so far apart, those opportunities are limited. My mom's been gone for several years, so if I could have something homemade by her, I'd give ANYthing -including the 52 pounds I've lost.

I say get right back on the program and don't waste a minute feeling guilty about what you ate.

Thanks Guys. You all made me feel so much better.

Yesterday all day I followed the plan to the core.....but last night before going to bed I felt nauseous and I :puke:  This never happened before on my first day(s) (there are atleast 3 so far!) of Medifast dieting! I am not going to associate that with the medifast.

I will see how I will do today.

Thanks for all the support!
