Postby disney..lover » June 19th, 2006, 2:27 pm

I have lost 40 pounds, but fell OFF the wagon about a month ago....pretty sad. I have gained 10 pounds, pretty awful....
Ok, so now i am re-starting tomorrow, i need to loose 50 more pounds, but everyday i restart, it is so hard and feil, everyday, and restart the day after, and like that a month have passed.
That is why i am seeking help... from you guts the experts and my inspirations....
Any advice on passing the first 4 days, i know it gets better after that time...but need advice...... should i be on full fast or start with 5-1, i just need to loose these 10 pounds to feel inspire again......thanks for everything in advance.
I am scare of loosing all my effort and hard work, and really want to get to goal.

Thanks Again

Yep. Unfortunately, there's no magic answer. You just have to MAKE yourself do it. Take it day by day, or meal by meal. Remember how you felt when you did it before. Think about how you feel about the weight gain, and every time you DON'T make it through another day. Which way would you rather feel? And does that whatever-it-is REALLY taste good enough to be worth feeling so bad?

But you basically just have to tough it out. I wish there was an easier way.

This quote I read today applies:

"Decision + Commitment + A Plan = Success." --Brat Factor

It's just that simple. Not easy. But simple.

should i be on full fast or start with 5-1

I'm also a repeat restarter and each time I tried to do the full fast afterward, I was so hungry and ending up eating too much and started all over the next day. I recommend doing the 5-1 and don't feel bad about having that allowed snack. You are going to be hungry. If you are good, you'll see those 10 lbs come off just like that. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Hi there,

I know what you are going through. I've been there a couple times, believe me. When you are upset about gaining some of the weight back it tends to even be harder to find motivation. The best advice I was given was to make a commitment to get through this day, then the next... don't think about how long it will take you to lose the 10lbs. Don't beat yourself up, congratulate yourself for not giving up!! :D
