Meet Terry and Nancy.

Nancy is gonna be taped for a Medifast commercial

Postby Nancy » November 30th, 2006, 11:54 am

Hey, MakeMeThinner Folks ~

I am so excited! :sheepjump: :sheepjump: :sheepjump:

 I am doing a telephone interview this morning for a Medifast infomercial!

Yup, I got a call last week from Medifast asking if I would be willing to share my story on the air.

Nurse Lori Andersen and Dr. Joe will be taping in a studio in Chicago and then the TV host will call me.

I was asked to send a ‘before and after’ picture to be used on the screen when I tell my story.

 Please keep me in your prayers - I want to do my best because there are so many others that need to have their health restored, too. I don't have much time to talk (which will be a real challenge for me since I am a real Aunt Blabby!) so I want to offer people the hope that comes from our program - if an ordinary flabby lady who failed every other program can do it, anybody can do it!

I do not know where or when the show will be aired – it is being taped live so perhaps it will be broadcast live. I am to be available from 11 AM to 1 PM today, standing by on the phone, awaiting my turn.

:whattha: Sheesh…two hours is a l-o-n-g time to stay away from the sandbox…

Thanks, People!

I finished it.

It was really interesting because I could hear the interview going on in the studio. The host began the show talking about the problem of obesity in America and asked Dr. Joe DiBartolomeo, Medifast’s VP of Clinical Affairs to explain how difficult it is to eat healthy in today’s society. Nurse Lori Andersen then spoke about how effective Medifast meal replacements are for weight loss. She spoke about how easy they are to prepare, about the variety of foods to choose from and the effectiveness of the program.

When it was my turn, host Alan Walden asked me to tell about my experience with Medifast.

I said that I had been overweight my entire life, failed at numerous diets and programs and once I started using Medifast, hunger and cravings went away, making it easy to stick to the program; I lost weight and my health and hope were restored. No longer doomed to be chubby, here I am four years later, enjoying a healthy life. :bananadance:

The taping will be processed and aired sometime in January.

 In two minutes, how do you effectively tell how your health has turned around and your life will never be the same?

I hope that others can catch the vision that there IS hope for them, too. We are not doomed to being Chubbettes for the rest of our days.

:secret: P.S. DeDe, you are a dear precious person and I am so thankful my little writings have been of help to you. Making changes to one’s lifestyle is not easy – it takes great effort and it sure helps when we have each other to rely on. I am proud of you for the way you help others to stick to it and gitter done!

Casma, Karli and Biki ~ you are treasures! You inspire me as well. Keep on shakin' up your worlds! Here's to our success :beerbeer:

Biki ~

What a hoot! I think I may not have explained it very well here - I was not filmed in the studio, my part was as a call-in to the studio - I gave a telephone testimony. I was just wearing normal stuff yesterday - jeans, brown leather belt, brown boots with pointy toes and heels, a leopard print turtleneck sweater and a black leather zip-up vest.

(Yup, leopardy  underdoodies, of course!)

That is still fabulous that you were included and I KNEW leopard prints would figure in there prominently!

Nancy!

You HAVE to keep us informed so we can Tivo it!

Also, you know how some people call in on the news and they have a pic? Did you send them an "after" picture in leopard? I don't mean leapord underdoodles, just regular leopardness?

Nancy, I hope you know what you mean to myself and others. The fact that you did what you did, kept it off and now inspire and support ALL of us and give us this wonderful forum to help each other and commiserate. I hope you know what it means to me.

Just checking!

DeDe ~

Thank you, from the bottom of my  heart, thank you!

re:

Nope, I sent the 'before' and 'after' pictures of me that are on the homepage of the MakeMeThinner website.

I honestly don't have a lot of 'before' pictures because I always ran away from the camera. I still feel weird-o-lah when the cameras come out...speaking of cameras….I recently noticed that MrMac and Diana captured me in my Larry Boy T shirt when we were at Sundance the first weekend in November! What a crack-up - it was the end of a very l-o-n-g day and we were having a slumberless party! Mike and Terry were in their sweatpants, Di had her cutesy nightie on and I was wearing leopard jammy bottoms and a Larry Boy shirt (from the Veggie Tales!) while we had a nightcap of Chai Latte!

When I hear something more about the infomercial, I'll letcha know.

My part was itsy bitsy and who knows how much of it will actually be in the finished production – my soundbite may end up on the floor in little snippies. I am just happy to be of help to others – for years I was looking for Medifast and never knew it existed. I am grateful for the way we have been able to bring hope and joy to the lives of so many.
