Nancy and the Blender Bottle

:coach: Attention: no need to adjust your :hammer: screen or run for a pair of high-powered :glasses: eye glasses.

You do not have a case of instant macular degeneration.

If you cannot see the pictures here, it’s because Unca Tim has not yet inserted them.

When he recovers from his :biker: bike ride and :snooze: nap, he’ll poke ‘em in here in the right places so you can see what I’m talkin’ about and see me wearing my Saturday afternoon grubbies.

:tears: Alas, you cannot see any leopardy clothing items in view but please know that below the Hard Rock Café t-shirt I was wearing my Mary Brighton belt that has two sections of zebra and two sections of leopard fur encircling my waist. The other leopard wear items shall remain unmentioned as they are  unmentionables. That’s why I did not mention them.

 Hi, Every One ~

I got a little :boing: surprise from Unca.

Some of you wrote about how much you enjoy the Blender Bottle® for mixing your Medifast shakes. Unca did a little :puter: research and he  secretly ordered some for the MakeMeThinner Cottage Kitchen.

Image

He is always doing  kind things like that and I just LOVE surprises!

:hmmm: I keep waiting for a :hide: surprise bracelet, a surprise ring, a surprise pair of earrings…

Unca makes and slurps a double packet 16 ounce Chocolate Medifast Plus Joint Health each day.

It’s way too much volume to fit in a regular TSFL Fast Shake Shaker Jar so he mixes it in a blender, the Magic Bullet® or sometimes in a recently acquired plastic martini shaker. :toast:

The latter can be  problematic as it leaks sometimes and it has chocolatized the white tile counters, cupboards and floor.

For people with joint pain, :aarggh: it is not pleasant stooping down to lick Joint Health shakes from the front of the dishwasher, or off the rough grout…it can scrape off a person’s taste buds.

The UPS driver arrived late Friday afternoon with a box containing three Blender Bottles®.

Image

Unca selected the Blender Bottle® with the yellow lid, Terry chose the one with the purple lid and Leopard Woman got dibs on the one with the red lid since it does :x not come in designer prints.

Image

We decided to do a little Consumer Report for you.

The Blender Bottle® bottles easily hold 22 ounces of water plus there’s extra room for shaking.

The plastic lid screws onto the bottle and the lid has an attached pop top.

(:secret: A long Starbuck’s straw fits nicely into the bottle for drink slurpage.)

It is dishwasher safe.

The secret to the Blender Bottle® success is a wire ball that :boing: boings around and mixes the shake perfectly.

Image

The ball reminds me of one of those kitchen gadgets we use to make strangled eggs – sort of like a whisk without a handle.

:shades: To me, the ball looks exactly like a sprongy wire boinger.

If you look close in the picture, you can see it. I tried to get a close up so you can see the three parts: bottle, lid and :boing: boinger ball.

( Look real close behind the Blender Bottle® near the rabbit cookie jar (It contains Medifast meal bars)

Now notice the little pink ceramic pig face with a slender stick handle and hot pink tag. :cateye: See it?

Image

It is a Magic Piggy wand – you wave it over food and it cuts the calorie consumption in half.

Wave it twice over desserts and it makes cheesecake and marion berry pie totally calorie-free.)

:secret: BTW, here’s another little household hint: if you ever drop and break your Blender Bottle® you could salvage the boinger ball and give it to the cat for a plaything.

Yup, Leopard Woman is always  thinking here at the MakeMeThinner Cottage…

Back to the Blender Bottle® …it mixed Unca’s double packet Medifast Plus Joint Health Shake perfectly. Lump free and fast.

He did not choclatize the kitchen and that made me very gladsome indeed! :thumbig:

Clean up was a breeze. He added some soapy water, closed the lid and :cleader: shooka-shooka to clean the mixing ball and rinsed the bottle, :boing: ball and cap.

It passed his test.

Terry decided to try mixing his Medifast Chocolate Pudding in his bottle.

His usual method of mixing his chocolate puddin’ is to add a packet of the powder to 4 ounces of cold water in a soup bowl and to stir like :nana: crazy with a wire whisk.

It results in some lumps but he doesn’t care; :bib: he likes ‘em.

Then he licks the whisk to get every drop of his pudding serving.

One night he cut his tongue on the whisk…

(I prepare my yummy Medifast Bananner Cream puddin’ right in my Fast Shake shaker jar.

Sure the lid gets pudding all over it but it’s no problem-o to scrape it off with a spoon.)

Now mind you, the Blender Bottle® is rather tall, it holds 28 ounces of liquid…getting the picture here? :scratchhead:

He put 4 ounces of cold water into the bottle, dumped in the packet of Medifast Pudding, snapped on the lid and shook for about 30 seconds.

The pudding was perfectly blended and lump-free.

:point: Problem: unless you are a giraffe, it is difficult to lick every last drop of puddin’ from the Blender Bottle®.

He used a rubber spatula to get every morsel of  Medigoodness from the sides of the Blender Bottle®.

:hmmm: My suggestion: use the :boing: boinger ball inside a Fast Shake Jar – it is a smaller jar, shorter and much easier to get every speck and lick of pudding!

Here you can see me mixing my Medifast Vanilla 55 shake with Chai DaVinci™ Sugar-Free Syrup in my Blender Bottle™.

I added a tiny bit of crushed ice to mine. It mixed it quickly and clean up is really easy.

Conclusion: we really truly pock-a-dooly like it. :whoohoo:

For frosty cold blended drinks, the Magic Bullet® is still my fave.

[size 18]:secret: Funny little story here: Terry got a phone call recently from one of our Health Advisors who is not MakeMeThinner Forum-savvy. I know, I know…she has NO idea what she is missing here…She called to ask Terry about the Magic Bullet®.

Evidently one of her clients had read a few postings here about the MB and sent her Health Advisor an email to inquire about it. Since she does not read here, she had no idea about what a Magic Bullet could be.

She asked Terry.

He said, “What do you think it could be?”

She said, “Well, it could be a blender or ...is... it... a suppository?”

Now there’s a picture for ya, Folks…

Great idea! I’ll break out my paint-by-numbers kit.

Actually I rarely have difficulty mixing my shake.

Our soy formula is double-milled which means that it is as fine as talcum powder and mixes easily with cool water.

I find that lumpage occurs only with the puddin' or if I have some sort of a menopausal mental moment and accidentally dump the packet into my jar before the water – something just plain hinky happens when liquid is added to the powder…

The other day I was  thinking about DogLover and had an  uncontrollable desire for peanut butter

after :hatch: cracking open a brand new jar of Better’n Peanut Butter I sniffed and it wasn’t enough to keep away my  craving for the sticky stuff.

I washed my hands, dipped into the jar and ate a hurking fingerful of the creamy goodness… :devious:

 I decided to have a peanut butter shake before I did any more hip damage.

Into my original 2002 model shaker jar with no remaining ounce markers, I put 8+ ounces of refrigerator-cooled :water: wa-wa,
ripped off the top of the packáge (pronounced Pak-ahhhje) and dumped the packet of French Vaniller 55 onto the chilled water’s surface.

Grabbed what was left of the DaVinci Sugar-Free PB Syrup ( :secret: after Unca Tim’s closet raid) and poured a healthy glug of syrup onto the MF French Vaniller powder, screwed on the lid, did a little :beerbeer: shaka-shaka; licked the lid and sipped in my rocker.

Ahhh…peanut buttery bliss…

 huh? Whazzis? :idontknow:

My shake stuck to the roof of my mouth!!

I actually had a lob of peanut butter up there on my leopardy roof!

:shades: No kiddin’, Kids!

:puter: Adding liquids to the MF powder results in soyballs. I rather liked it.

With the Bottle Blender® you’ll not experience that surprise.

Disclaimer: Peanut Butter and Better’n Peanut Butter is NOT a part of the TSFL Program.

It is NOT sanctioned…

:pet: when you get to weight maintenance, then have at it.

Until then, quitcher :x :deadhorse: crabbin’ and be ye :bouncie: glad about DaVinci Sugar-free Peanut Butter syrup..

:muahaha: I know you’ll be askin’…

Nancy and others ~

For those who wish to add a few healthy calories to their daily food intake- have a Take Shape shake (180 calories) AND a Medifast Meal Bar - it is an ideal way to increase calories with nutritionally balanced foods and no harmful herbs.
