The highest and best use for the apple cinnamon oatmeal is to make cookies with it. I like it plain, but made into cookies it's awesome!

Cookies??? With flour? What do you use for "flour"? I dare not! LW might come after me with a can of bug spray! ;)

They are great.

I made them twice yesterday, and once today. Yummy!

Wow, I dare not! I'll be on a cookie binge instead of meal bars and LW would give me the boot! I just got rid of the meal bars, I just can't have that kind of stuff in the house.

Hey, goofball-- the cookie recipe involves no flour 'tall! Here's the recipe Nancy posted for us:

APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL COOKIES

1 pkt Medifast Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
¼ tsp cinnamon
3 tsp Splenda sweetener
1/3 cup water
1/8 tsp baking powder
½ tsp vanilla extract

Pre-heat oven to 350°.

Mix all dry ingredients together. Add extract and water. Stir until
moistened. Set aside for 5 minutes to allow ingredients to achieve appropriate consistency.

Place spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet (spray with Pam) and bake for 10 minutes or until cookies have browned.

Not really any diff from having a bowl of oatmeal, and it takes longer to prepare, so you may feel like you've really made something special...?

my oatmeal is portable that way. I can make them ahead of time and take them with me! Happy dance!

People!

First of all I would LOVE to have Spidey visit moi -
anybody else out there in MakeMeThinner Cyberland is always welcome to come for a visit, too!

We don't do sleep-overs :snooze: any more as the MMT Cottage is teensy - come for a lounge on the lanai and watch the fish frolic in the pond, we'll have a shake or a serving of oatmeal and blab up a storm!

On a chilly or drizzly day, we'll have a cuppa Cappuccino in our parlor, relax in the burgundy wingbacks or hoot it up on the settee and gaze at our Thomas Kinkcade painting, "A Quiet Evening" and dream of peaceful thinniness to come...

Please, no droolage...if it is because of the alluring nature of LW, that's a whole other issue but no droolage over oatmeal, please. We'll place a bib around your neck. :bib:

Naw, I do not have special shipment privileges. Sorry. I just happened to get lucky, I guess. We ordered a small stash of M&BS oatmeal.

The Chicken and Wild Rice Soup - it is a little blah IMHO unless you spice it up and then it is wonderful!

Smartiegrrl made a suggestion for the Chicken Noodle Soup and I think it would be super for the Chicken With Wild Rice Soup, too. Here ya go...

its also good "greek style" with a little lemon juice (couple of drops) and some oregano and lots of pepper.

Let's try it, huh? :eat:

I shall not be intimidated! I love the rockberries!

Remember, I had nothing but shakes for months and months, when I had my first packet of Multi-grain crackers, I licked the plastic bag!

When I had my first serving of oatmeal, I licked the bowl and  rolled the rockberries around in my mouth for an hour!

When I had my first bar - it was sweet Heaven! :bounce:

Of COURSE I licked the mylar wrapper.

People, when I ate my first real food - salmon (which I do not recommend for a FIRST meal), my teeth forgot :dooh: how to work and I chomped the inside of my mouth - seriously.

My bite changed and I experienced cheek chompage.

If you Kids wanna exchange grub, kindly do so by PM so we don't have an auction here on the Old MMT website - there is already a famous epay place to do that...thanks! ;)

I have a job interview today -- wish me luck. I'm SO burned out at my current place.

I have a beautiful new suit that I bought in October at Nordie's that I'm going to wear. I actually bought two suits that day, to the tune of close to $700 by the time I was done with blouses and such. I didn't know I was going to be Medifasting, or I wouldn't have spent the money! They still fit, but are a bit loose. I'm wondering if I can have them taken in, so that I can at least finish out the winter season with them. Not the blouses, sadly, which is a shame because I especially love the purple and black one with the draping cuff.

Yes yes, I am indeed very happy to be Medifasting and losing weight, but dang, I really like these suits!

Rae ~

Blesings to you as you go for our interview - they'll love you, we do!

re: the suits - Nordstrom's may be able to tailor them for you.

We have some very nice resale shops in our area, have you considered putting your clothes on consignment? Some stores pay cash for good quality used clothing and others give a spending allowance. I traded a few large sizes for smaller ones.

We also have the MMT Swap 'n Shop web room ...

Nancy-- you crack me up. I think you have 24K and me confused-- although it *is* true that we think a lot alike about many things, and I *have* always wanted to look like 24K with her gorgeous red hair...

24K-- good luck on your interview!!! If you can stick to MF, everything else must be downhill from there, so I know you'll find something you like to do and will impress the pants off the people there... You certainly impress me!

::blush:: Wow, thanks. With this kind of support behind me, how can they NOT hire me??

I will have to look around for consignment shops. Thanks for the idea.

If you have a good, cheap tailor, it might be worth it to have them taken in, but around here, I think it would cost me more to tailor them than to just sell 'em and buy some new ones, as you say. It s***s to have to do it, but then again, it's much more fun to shrink out of clothes than to grow out of them! ;) Congrats!
