I have read that people take bars or soy crisps to be "in" on the movie snacking experience.

I order a big diet coke and sit there happy in the movie with either a bar or my soy crisps! I never feel like I'm missing out. I still have the experience...the sticky floors, the rude people, the crying babies, the text messagers, the cell phone talkers...yup, I'm at the MOOVIEEESSS!

Yup, you can smell the popcorn and hear the candy rustling, but you're there to enjoy the movie and enjoy your friend! Enjoy the time!

Yes! That is my movie munchie meal! A bar and a bag of Soy Crisps and water or a Diet Coke and I'm set! Just like a candy bar, popcorn and a soda! I go to alot of lmovie dates with my husband and I never miss the standard fare. He can eat his popcorn while I munch on my White Chedder Crisps!

I actually went Friday afternoon (playing hooky from work) to see Smokin' Aces. I should have thought ahead and planned to eat a bar during the movie but I had eaten it earlier. About an hour into the movie I was pulling out my shaker cup to prepare a FV shake. The theater was pretty empty and the boyfriend was understanding. :)

I think I posted this elsewhere but when we went to the movies last week I just drank liquids the whole time. It wasn't time for a medi-meal, and I don't do crisps or bars anymore, so I had Starbucks, a water and a diet soda, one after the other. I did have to take a bathroom break during and after the movie.

movies

Postby Seaside » February 6th, 2007, 6:36 am

I don't go to movies (no time, really) but tv is how I relax after my looong days (I work f/t, teach p/t and go to school at night f/t). That's when the munchies hit. Like Biki, I find the yummy medifast bars trigger the desire to eat so I am personally avoiding them.

The HealthyPop 100-calorie lowfat microwave popcorn bags seem to work well --

Trust me - you didn't miss a damn thing. We did go to the theaters in Brea. We were going to go back later on to see Pan's - he wants to see it and I wouldn't mind seeing it again but it got too late. He gave me the evil look when I mentioned theater hopping. I still need to see Apocolypto grrrr

Except that they're not at ALL appropriate for Medifasters.
