S'mores bars

Postby Shana » April 16th, 2006, 6:54 pm

Hello beautiful Medifasters!
I just tried a s'mores bar, and, well, I'm afraid it tasted like play-doh (yes, I HAVE eaten play-doh!) even after a brief foray into the microwave.
Any suggestions on how to improve the flavor? or should I hit swap n' shop? :)
Thanks!

 Gosh, I never thought about the S'mores tasting like Play Doh...always thought Play Doh was a bit salty-tasting.

:hmmm: Maybe I'll have to bip to the store for a three pack of Play Doh and try out the flavors and compare them to the S'more bars...

My favorite schooltime treat was white paste...

Nancy - you're killing me :roflmao:

While I can agree it SMELLS like play doh, I have to say I've never had the pleasure of actually TASTING play doh so I have no comment on that one.

Oh, nor have I eaten paste - what HAVE I been missing......

:roflmao: Shana that is SO funny!!!!! My friend JUST started medifast yesterday and she opened her Smore's bar and said "Uh, it smells like play-doh!" TOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!! Like you, she wasn't thrilled with the taste of that particular bar, but said she could handle six more over the next 5 weeks. Fortunately, I had her taste the Oatmeal Rasin bar before she ordered, so she knows there are YUMMY bars ahead for her. So, hopefully you can take eating six more smores, but if not, you can try to trade them in "swap n shop" :)

The Smores Bars are probably my least favorite of the bars, but I still like them. I have started to LOVE the Oatmeal Raisin bars lately. Fortunately for me, it seems that they aren't extremely popular so I have a huge selection of them that I have traded for other products.

I guess tastes really DO change, because I liked play-doh as a kid, but... the flavor just doesn't do it for me when not accompanied by a funky neon color! :)

Lauradr, let me know if you want to make a trade! lol

I just had a smores bar and I think they taste and smell just like any other granola bar. I don't know about the play-doh thing.

I was going to say the exact same thing. And I never thought about microwaving them either. I have to say the S'Mores aren't the greatest, but they'll do if that is all I haev handy.

The white paste was pretty good, wasn't it? You see had great access to it - I was the teacher and I bought it by the gallon jars! Yummuh!
