MOCK FRENCH TOAST

Postby Redhed028 » August 3rd, 2006, 5:59 pm

Often when I make the oatmeal cookies they are a bit spongy. When this happens, all I do is sprinkle a little Molly McButter on it and a drop of sugar free maple syrup and voila. FRENCH TOAST. Now I think I have it down pat and strive to get spongy oatmeal cookies. I only bake them 10 minutes and that works for me. It is similar to the pancake but I make it think in a tart size tin and he is thick enough to taste like bread.

I LOVE IT!!!!

Hmmm, I'll have to give this a shot! Do you bake it with the syrup on it, or add it after it bakes?

Thanks.

ok I put syrup on after while it's hot. Also I don't make it "think" in the tart pan, just make it thick. Just noticed that dumb typeover lol :)

Hope you like it. :)

I keep forgetting to buy SF syrup. I have all of these Torani syrups for coffee and additives to shakes and oatmeal, just forget the original SF maple syrup for oatcakes and such.

Hey, that's a good idea. Maybe I could start adding a bit of maple syrup to the oatmeal.

I have a hard time getting into oatmeal, but I would like to start eating it because it's more of a "meal".

Yeah, of all of the things, other than chili, it feels more filling.

I really wish they had more selections of things like that. I can't stand chili, so I'm sure I will not like the medifast version...and I'm not a fan of oatmeal. I just wish there were a few more things like that to choose from.

Pudding is ok, but that's less of a meal and more of a dessert in my mind. I only like that occasionally.
