MMMM Fudgecicles....

Postby MusicalMomma » May 1st, 2006, 12:57 pm

This happened by accident and isn't really a "recipe", but it was quite good.

I slipped a chocolate RTD in the freezer to chill it and forgot about it...I ate it frozen and it was like having a big fudgecicle....I was delighted.

I haven't bought any RTD's yet. Are they better than the shake your own? They cost a little more, but may be worth it.

I honestly prefer the powedered shake...cuz you can doctor them up with syrups n such and make them larger with ice. Hubby prefers the RTD's, he travels for work, so we have a lot of them....I started having rtd's on the run, and now when I am too lazy to mix the powdered! LOL There isn't much IN the rtd's (a little over 8 oz's), so if you need volume, stick with the powdered. The taste reminds me of yoohoo.

Today I am going to try to freeze a powdered shake and see if I get the same results...will let you know :)

The chocolate shake is AWESOME if you make it in the blender with 8oz water & a cup of ice with a couple of sprinkles of cinnamon. The put it in the freezer for 2 hours (or more) and it tastes like a Frosy from Wendys!!

I am going to try freezing the french vanilla RTD. To me it tastes like melted vanilla ice cream anyway, so I am going to try putting it in a bowl in the freezer. Maybe it will be like vanilla ice cream. Will let ya'll know! :bib:

I am thinking of getting some of these and storing them in the freezer for the entire day's supply of that item. It's like when I freeze the fruit punch...just melting and still cold by the time I get to them....

So, worth the money then????????????
