Grand total amount to lose 40 lbs.
I decided to make this the thread in which I will update.
It makes it more simplier to look at the stats. 8)

Jan 30
NOTE: I am presently in a leg, ankle and foot cast and will stay optimistic about my weight loss. Recording my weight right now will be inaccurate, since this cast does weigh alot. For 28 days, I was able to lose a total of 10 lbs. Doc said cast will be on for 4-6 weeks, I will know by the end of February what my weight is and hopefully of any weight loss. I am positive I will lose weight.

March 1
UPDATE: They took the cast off my ankle and leg and I am now 222 lbs .... and for a sec I thought there would not be any noticeable weight loss

Hello Brandi, a fellow neighbor in the big apple. Be determine and do not stray from what you want. The first few days may be the most challenging, but as time goes by, you get used to it and remember to drink your water, it prevents dehydration and constipation. My best to you.

HEY......I didn't even notice you were in NY....are you in NYC? I am 2 hours north of NYC, in Dutchess county. How cool is that...How nice to meet someone so close. Anyway I wish you Luck as well. I am trying very hard to stay focused, and let me tell you this is hard! But I CAN do this. How often are you going to update and write in this thread? I probably will every day if I can. Still feeling hungry, and that actually reminds me , I need a shake now.......talk to you soon...

Hugs,
Brandi :D

Hey there Brandi. I live in Westchester County, but also have a place in the city.

Regarding updates, I will be here a few times during the week (before it was whenever I could and that meant about once a month). But coming a few times during the week will keep things motivated for me as well on alert to my mission.

The stats I will update every Sunday, although I will hit the scale everyday to monitor my weight and watch for warning signs of gaining, since I am not on a full liquid Medifast due to medical reasons, hence slower weight loss. But the thing that matters most is that I lose and it is steady.

Sounds great

Hi Nite Izes,

Sounds similar to my goal. I am not weighing myself until my birthday cause I'm a slave to that damn scale. In Fact I'm having my husband put it away. So, March 15th will be my first weigh in and I'm sure that I will have lost 40 lbs. by then.

Here's to our goals in the New Year!

GREAT JOB Nite Izes!!! Keep up the good work.......I will give stats on sunday. I am fighting with the scale right now, because I'm a slave to it. But, I haven't stepped on it since last sunday......everytime I walk by it, I yell at it....lol telling it NO!...lol I'd put it away, but it's a "doctors" scale, too heavy to drag in and out weekly. Anyway keep dropping those pouds your doing a WONDERFUL job...... :D :D :D :D

:x I really hate it that I have to cook dinner everynight and have to taste test everything to make sure the seasoning or whatever else is ok or if it needs adjusting. That darn kitchen is a temptation waiting to happen, ARGHHHH!!!

I gotta be strong and not get caught up in culinary preparation. Bad thing is that it's just me and my hubby and he does not cook, nor does he eat anything frozen or ready-made, everything he puts in his mouth has to be homemade and fresh which makes it harder on me.

He is a great supporter and always there for me. We have come to compromise that I only cook dinner and he can prepare his own breakfast (usually bowl of cereal and milk 5 out of the 7 days) and that he can even prepare his own lunch every once in a while or more to the point heat up the food himself (usually leftover food that can be nuked) with me no where near the kitchen area.

Hello

Postby NikkiNix » January 11th, 2005, 9:28 pm

Hi Nite,

I hate having to cook also for the family but my husband works and I have a 1 1/2 year old that is always hungry so not cooking isn't an option. I think as far as testing the grub yourself takes an extreme amount of will to not take a test bite and then a test plate. Girl I give you props for that I personally can't do it so I have my 8 year daughter be the test taster. Instead of testing it yourself maybe you can just have your husband do it so you won't have to be tempted. He can tell ya weather or not it needs extra flavor just use spices sparingly in the beggining so he can always add extra if needed. If he doesn't like that idea maybe he should be cooking dinner for himself :?: I love the fact that you always put your BMI goals as well as your weightloss goals I think it keeps everthing in perspective, maybe in March my birthday gift to myself will be checking that old BMI chart myself.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life!

Darn, I wanted my weight loss to be alittle higher than 2 lbs per weight.

I went to see my doc today and she said that 2 lbs per weight is appropriate and healthy amount for me and that I am right on track. I was hoping that my average weight loss would be 3-4 lbs per week, but my body knows what is the right amount to lose and I am following the plan correctly, drinking my Medifast, 1 low carb, low fat, low cal meal, exercising and most important drink my water to prevent dehydration.

Hello NIte,

I think 2lbs a week is great! Just think if your weren't doing MF at all you would probably be gaining weight instead of loseing it. Also try to remeber your exerciseing so muscle weighs more than fat but it will kick your matabolism up so in the future you might turn that 2lb weight loss into a 3 or 4lb a week weightloss.
