I know some of you really like this :D , but I really don't  ! Do any of you have suggestions on how to make this more tasty? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I don't like it either and cannot wait until my box is gone. Right now it is emergency rations only (when I forget to order and I get really low!). I have added some salsa in it to make it a bit more tastey. Try that, it helps a bit!

Hi-- I actually like the min. soup.. I adda few pieces of chopped onion and a beef bouillon cube to it as I cook mine on the stove.. I let it simmer about 7 minutes or so until everything is nice and tender.. I like to have the crackers with it..-- Martha

I soak mine in the fridge before nuking. And usually add bouillon and hot sauce. Last time I tried adding a little oregano, too. It's still far from my favorite, though.

Hi there,

You know, the minestrone it definitely one of my favorites. This is what I add to mine:

1 T dried parsley flakes
2 tsp. dried basil
salt/pepper
2 tsp. beef bouillon

I always make my soup during breakfast and put it in a container for lunch. The soup then sits in the fridge for at least 4 hours or so all the veggies and beans soften, and it turns out perfectly.
I hope this helps make it more palatable for you. Good luck!

Hello,

The minestrone is one of my favorites too. I add one of the tomato fast soups into it instead of the bouillon since the fast soup has the extra potassium and than some Ms. Dash extra spicy seasoning. I let it seap with a plate on top for at least 10 min and heat again. The fast soup makes a huge difference in taste.

I love the minestrone soup with a little cayenne pepper and salt. I love the suggestion about the tomato fast soup - may have to try that one!

Reply on the minestrone soup

Postby Jules » August 10th, 2005, 3:31 pm

I've enjoyed using the tips for the minestrone soup....you have to use them or this soup would really be intolerable.....actually, after I'd had three cold shakes before 2:00 PM, I was ready to have some hot soup with my L&G....I pretended it was an appetizer! Thanks for all the tips on making this soup worth eating. :D Medifasting in Ga., Jules
