minestrone soup

Postby hawaiiwhatnot » July 6th, 2004, 3:44 pm

Straight out of the packet, the minestrone soup DID NOT appeal to me AT ALL.

So after searching this forum, I combined lots of suggestions of Nancy's and others, and doctored it up to the point I really like it now. The suggestions I combined: :chef:

Add 1 3/4 cup water instead of the 1 cup called for to the MF Minestrone Mix- heat as directed then add

- 2 beef boullion cubes or 2 teaspoons of beef boullion granules
- 1 packet of Medifast Savory Beef Soup
- 2 tablespoons salsa

Stir and Let it stand covered 5 minutes as directed

It's pretty good IMO, and there's lots more of it with the added water to make it REALLY filling. :exercise:

I have to agree. On my first day of the program, I made the minestrone soup and wasn't sure I would survive. Thank goodness I found out we can "add" our own flavors to the food.
