Metrics 101 for Newbies

Postby FitQueen » June 26th, 2005, 10:07 am

To all my Newbies:

The following is a brief refresher course in metrics that helped me with my water:

1 cup = 8 oz
1 pint = 16 fl. oz
2 pints = 1 quart
1 quart = 32 fl. oz
4 quarts= 1 gallon
32 fl. oz (4 cups) = 1 liter

I hope this helps you when calculating your water intake.

Thanks, FitQueen (Ruth)! I am truly measurement impaired and can't ever figure out how many ounces are in a quart or quarts in a gallon. Now I know and I'd better get busy drinking my water NOW!
