Hmmm ... Found the Support in Motion tip of the day very interesting today.
Never heard about how colors influence our appetite (while I know very well they influence our mood
)! And I've had so many yellow kitchens in my life--go figure!! At least my current palette is more conducive to weight management!

Household Hints for Weight Loss
Watching calories and balancing energy expenditure is the key to successful weight management, but did you know that certain environmental factors may be sabotaging your efforts? Consider these household tricks which may help to turn down your appetite and turn up your energy:
Avoid decorating your kitchen and dining areas in red, yellow, and orange; these colors tend to stimulate the appetite. (No wonder most restaurants are decorated in these colors!) Instead, choose a relaxing color such as blue for plates, place settings and/or walls.
Tonight while you eat turn off the television, put down the newspaper and instead try turning on some music. When a slow-tempo piece is playing while you eat, you are more likely to eat slowly, helping to keep you in tune with your hunger cues and avoid any “off-key” eating.
Allow plenty of sunlight into your home. Open your curtains and blinds as soon as you get up. If you suffer from winter sluggishness, invest in full spectrum light bulbs or even a dawn simulator alarm clock.
Use scent to relax or to energize you. Try lavender in the bedroom, and jasmine or peppermint in your workout area.
