Medifast Soy Chips

Postby Ct. Yankee » May 1st, 2006, 10:50 am

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried the MF Soy Chips, which come in different flavors, such as Ranch, Cheddar Cheese, etc.? Just curious to know how they are. Thanks! :?:

Revival Soy

Postby Mike » May 1st, 2006, 1:28 pm

I used to have soy chips that were made by Revival Soy. We used to use their shakes and chips in our attempts before MF (when I say we of course I mean Diana and I) to lose weight. I loved the soy chips, especially apple and cinnamon. I am hoping that the Medifast soy chips are similar in taste and consistancy. They reminded me of Bugles (little cone shaped corn snacks).

Actually, they are called Soy Crisps, not Chips, my mistake, sorry. I usually order my products from the Medifast website, and they are available there. I am sure that other sites which sell Medifast products, including this one, will have the Crisps available very soon. I have an order for them coming on Thursday or Friday, so I will let you know if it is a keeper!!

Anyone ever try to just take the regular crackers and add some splenda/cinnamon or some powdered ranch flavorings or other things like that. It should not be a problem to add some water/PAM mix and wet the tops and then bake in some flavorings...

I tasted the wheat crackers. Not what I expected at all, but not horrible. So, I was thinking of this wile I was trying to sleep earlier.

They sound great! I wish that they could make something like this into an actual meal though, instead of a snack. It would be nice to have this count as a meal during the day.

Are there any other new products?

I would like to see a new kind of shake. Something like lemon, grape, blueberry, or watermelon!

Nutrisystem carries soy crisps in the same flavor. They are SO yummy. (Think flavored rice cakes ) I fell in love w/ the apple cinnamon. But alas... they were not allowed on MF. So glad to see them here!

Genisoy

Postby Mike » May 2nd, 2006, 2:05 pm

Long, long ago in a body that no longer exists I used to enjoy snacking on Genisoy Soy Crisps. I used to love having those. They were light and crunchy... almost like mini popcorn or rice cakes. I looked at the Medifast web site and it appears that these Soy crisps are very similar to the Genisoy product. I am hopeful anyway.
Looking forward to trying them. :)

Dede sent me her newsletter yesterday that announced the new soy crisps. They are supposed to send samples in all of the new MF orders. I'm not sure what flavor...I hope it's white cheddar or apple cinnamon. Oh !!! I vote for the watermelon shake also.......I'm SO craving fruit! Especially this time of the year. 8)
