How adjustable is the medifast diet? Im being pretty strict as far as the weekdays are concerned, but can i sleep in on weekends and pick up whenever?
I guess i wouldnt mind having to wake up around 9ish (as apposed to starting with my 7am shake). Though waking up naturally and starting from there would be niiiiiice Not a big deal, just wondering
Sure! I do! No bloody way am I getting up at 6:45 tomorrow morning, or the day after that, or the day after that.
Have your first MediMeal within an hour after getting up. Space 'em about three hours apart as usual, although if you are going to bed at the same time you might have to move them closer together so you get them all in. On the flip side, if you're staying up all night, or several hours later, then go ahead and have another shake at the 3 hour mark, is what Nancy told me.
I'm with ya on that 100% 24k!!! I got up at 9:15 this morning! I just re-adjust my whole day!
Now last night I made a big goof! Went to a party at a friends house and at 1 am I was STARVING! I had had my last suppl at 8 pm in the car on the way over. I drank a ton of water and a diet pop, but I really should have brought another suppl. Oops.

My schedule changes daily. I have my first within an hour of when I wake up, and about every 3 hours I have another one. If I got up really early I stretch them, and if I sleep in, I squeeze them closer together. Unless I'm staying up late! You can have a supplement right before you hit the sack if you need to.
It is ok to double up a meal? I usually have my 1st at 6:30 am and my 2nd at 9:30, but on weekends, I have been having my 6:30 shake with my 9:30 shake and the rest of the day ends up being the same as my weekday. Is this ok?
Nope...try not to double up if at all possible - it is better to just have your meals closer together than to have doubles.
What we are trying to accomplish here is to space our meals out and eat smaller amounts so that our body doesn't store excess calories. Storage = flab. We are also learning about portion size here. Remember the Dude on Super Size Me?
We’re going for the amount we NEED to get by on, this is fuel not a time to gorge and flood the system with an abundance of calories so eating a small amount more often is better than scarfing a gob all at once.

Doglover, I keep a granola Medi-bar in my purse all the time now. I know we're only supposed to have them once a day, but I figure if I ever get caught somewhere with nothing (out later than I expect, or car breaks down, whatever), it's better than either skipping a meal and starving or eating something I shouldn't.
