Medi-Sins Confessional

Postby Aerie » July 18th, 2006, 10:59 am

I've been thinking about how we all have a tendancy to either hide our "cheats" or goof-ups in quiet painful shame, or we come here and pour out our guilt soaked hearts over the slightest of mishaps. Since none of us is perfect and this is a journey with ups and down I am hereby opening this thread as a place to deposit, leave and move on from our "cheats" and goof-ups with the MF program.

Here's my first two

1. I eat as many pickles as I want sometimes up to 4 a day.
2. At least a couple of times a week I don't get all my supplements in.

Anyone else want a guilt free unload?

Sometimes I eat more meat than I should. Or have a piece of low fat cheese.

When I go "off-plan" though.. I really go off plan and eat completely un-ok stuff.

My weaknesses are peanut butter and Cool Whip (together).

Peanut butter is evil....

i may never eat again.

i actually have this weird thing that food shouldn't touch.
pb & cool whip visions could lead to nightmares.

Alex I've known other people with the same problem of food touching. I always wondered how they could eat pizza. My roommate thinks fruit and chocolate together is blasphemy.

yeah, there's this weird thing that if it COMES together, it's ok. but then i'll pick all the components apart because i can't tolerate them like that. for example, pizza-- i will eat off each individual topping, type by type. so, first all the mushroom, then all the ham, then the cheese, then (if i still want it) the crust.

cheeseburgers? same thing. it's a weird, weird deal. i know. i've just always been like that. if something comes with a sauce on it and it touches another part of the meal, i can't eat it. i would rather starve than eat carrots that have had marinara on them.

it's actually caused problems in relationships, lol, because some people just cannot understand how much it revolts me. my ex's family was acually used to this, because her sister is the same way. everyone else thinks i'm a freak.

OK, I LOVE pb and Cool Whip together. Sometimes with chocolate chips sprinkle on. Although I haven't had that since starting Medifast over a year ago.

Still, I had to speak up in favor of it. Don't knock it till you've tried it!!!

DogMa, my PB & CW comrade.....hahaha

Actually, we should let everyone go on thinking it's no good - after all, that is one of the reasons I'm here now!

But it's nice to see I'm not the only one :)

Wow, so I'm not alone in the extra picklage. I eat 2 medium-sized pickles. Definitely smaller than the normal ones, but bigger than baby ones. So sometimes I just have 3. Or else 3 of those sugarfree Jello cups.

OR 2 jello cups AND 2 small pickles.

I am also guilty of missing a supplement. At LEAST once a week.

Sometimes I eat 2 L&G meals in a day. Yup, I own it, I do it. (but it actually helps to get the weight loss moving when I'm stuck too!).

You know what I used to eat that I LOVED but haven't had in years? grape jam, creamy peanut butter, and fluff sandwiches on wheat or white bread. It's sick how wonderful I think these taste. It's like a dessert.

OK its my turn. If I eat pickles it is never only 3 spears, I can never stop at one sugar free popcicle (they only have 10 calories and nothing else!), sometimes i add FF whip cream to my pudding (DON'T TRY IT YOU WILL NEVER WANT THE PUDDING WITHOUT IT AGAIN!!!!!) again, only 15 calories and I usually skip my snack on those days,
OK here is the really bad one. I drink a couple of Diet Dr Peppers and Captain Morgans almost every weekend!!!!!

oh yeah and I wish I had never tried peanut butter on MF because now I seem to want a spoonful everynight. I have to try it with whip cream that sounds heavenly!! I will try and wait until after my MF journey because that is the kind of thing I might get carried away with!

ok.... exiting confessional feeling a great sense of relief... maybe I will be able to stop myself from committing any of these Medifast sins tonight...

I said something once at work about fluffernutters, and no one knew what I meant. Even after I explained. Sigh.

I figure Cool Whip is basically one step away from marshmallow fluff. Talk about the ultimate comfort food.

I no longer have peanut butter OR Cool Whip in my house. It's safer that way. (And I've been PB-free since May 18, when I moved into the new house and just sat down at one point with a jar and a spoon. I'm proud to say I didn't finish the jar, though!)
